Ideas for better Diplomacy

I'm not quite sure what you are asking...do you want general ideas on how to improve it? If so..:

U.N. Trade Embargoes
Open Trade/Open Maritime and Open Borders, all separate.
Gold for cities
Improved Vassals
The ability to sell, rather than gift units.

You should be able to spend production towards unlearning technologies.

You should be able to spend production towards unlearning technologies.

I'm going to take that as "To be able to learn techs" and say you can do that already by building research. But how about making an "Espionage" production option, the same as the others, but in Espionage instead of Beakers, Gold or Culture?

I want other civs to trade techs to me more often.

It's frustrating to see another civ not bothering to trade me an essential tech. It's especially egregrious if they know another civ (who also won't trade it to me) with that tech, so the tech monopoly reason shouldn't apply.

Just want to resurrect this. A lot of these things could drastically make DoC better.
I like the fiefdom (resurrecting a dead civ), alliance, trading cities, random event ICONS

, sabotage unit. Also, diplomats can be sent to other nations and that gives a +1 relation. That could be useful, especially with the somewhat annoying embassy system we have.

I want to sell 400 Mechanical Infantry from the USA to Iran in return for Uranium and Oil.
