Lately I've been getting a little annoyed with seeing Montezuma and Huayna Capac continue to lead their civs into the 21st century. Therefore, with the help of Leoreth, I modded in José de San Martin from Colonization to replace Huayna, and Ekmek's Benito Juarez to replace Monty when their civs reach the Renaissance. Since Colonization also contains a great George III leaderhead, I didn't want to stop there and added him to the English leader roster (he now replaces Elizabeth once England reaches the Industrial era, but gives way to Victoria at Assembly Line).
Included in this modmodmod are all three of these leaders. Installation instructions:
1: Copy the Sounds and Art folders into Mods/RFC Dawn of Civilization/Assets. These won't overwrite anything.
2: Go into Assets/Python and make a backup of DynamicCivs.py, then replace that file with the one in the Python folder in this download.
3: Back-up Assets/XML/Audio/Audio2DScripts.xml, AudioDefines.xml; Assets/XML/Art/CIV4ArtDefines_Leaderhead.xml; Assets/XML/Civilizations/CIV4LeaderHeadInfos.xml; and one of the XML files in Assets/XML/Text.
4: Add the contents of the five files in the XML folder of the download to the bottom of the five files you backed up. But not at the very last line:
In Audio2DScripts, add it between </Script2DSound>
and </Script2DSounds>
In AudioDefines, add it between </SoundData>
and </SoundDatas>
In CIV4ArtDefines_Leaderhead, add it between </LeaderheadArtInfo>
and </LeaderheadArtInfos>
In CIV4LeaderHeadInfos, add it between </LeaderHeadInfo>
and </LeaderHeadInfos>
Finally, in the text file, add it between </TEXT>
and </Civ4GameText>
Sorry for the somewhat complicated install.
Credits:
José de San Martin and George III leaderheads are from Civ 4: Colonization.
Benito Juarez leaderhead is by Ekmek.
José de San Martin's text is from Colonization.
Benito Juarez' text is by Ekmek.
George III's text is by me, inspired by Blackadder.
Note that George III and San Martin miss their buttons; this is not much of an issue since leader buttons are barely displayed in DoC, though.
