I wanted to share this great start:

Attila
Size: Standard
Map: Pangea, 5 billion years, 12 civilizations, 12 city-states
Speed: Standard
Legendary Start, Promotions saved, Policies saved, turned on.
Emperor Difficulty

So it's year 3600BC, our people have found a capital, Samarkand (I really hate Attila's Court), our starting warrior animorphed into a battering ram after meeting a witch doctor in a nearby ancient ruin in turn 2, our scout managed to locate the mystical gold city of El Dorado in turn 8, while at the same time, our battering ram found the Mongolian capital, Karakorum.

The capital itself has a mountain for observatory, river, and 6 eventual pastures, which would give 6+ hammers. If this was a real world, the Huns would have went to Alpha Centauri before the Eastern Rome collapsed.

There's a good space for a second (third?) city between Samarkand and Karakorum, which makes it possible to do a 3-city start. I'm gonna buy a worker instead though.

I'm actually thinking of doing a spaceship victory, since domination is way, way way too easy.

Wow. That world is far older than the universe....

Seriously though, nice start. Crazy getting both a battering ram and El Dorado that early.

Nice catch, the universe went through a dozen crunches so far, this is the 13th, a universe that has the Huns start in a middle of a pangea world with a ram and El Dorado.

The title told me everything I needed to know, and actually made me burst out laughing. :D Nice.

Flat (5 billion old) map with a legendary start, what exactly did you expect? It's borderline cheating.

Okay, Turn 272 space victory, I screwed up a lot with the war with China, I lost around 8 fully upgraded horse archers from Chukonu wall, should have taken them out way earlier than I should have. I also made a lot of mistakes with the Ottomans because they sent a horde of janissaries to my western puppets. If I play it again, I think I could do a turn 250 spaceship victory.

The Capital, and minimap showing the general world shape, it's basically in the centre of the world.

The heartland of the empire, all of them built observatory and can work some jungle tiles.

Take a look at Cumae, I took it from the Romans as soon as they built it, not only was it super useful as it had 5 nearby luxuries (cotton stolen from Warsaw), but it ended up having 6 aluminum, 7 coal, and 6 oil. I think it was meant to be a capital location for someone.

I rushed petra at Astrakhan, I'm loving the city locations of this map, it has lots of desert, mountain for observatory, 3 pastures, 2 iron, and 2 quarries to boost production even further.

Land formerly known as Russia: Moscow was way around the other side of the mountain range, close to my capital. It was a pain taking it, but it has 5 pastures, 4 gold with mint, and an observatory to boot.

Land formerly known as Japan and America, not too interesting, but the rivers run crazy in the area, so I annexed them to build hydro plants.

Final Score, my highest one yet, I'm gonna try to improve it.

I almost never ever play with Legendary Start. It's like sitting in your underwear in a comfy chair with the remote, food, and internet all within easy reach.
