This may be a really stupid question, but...

Besides the civs that founded historical trading companies, can you still have the "conquerors" type event that occurs? For example, if I were to be Byzantium and I construct the trading company wonder, would I be prompted to draft and army and attack India or somewhere else?

Trading Companies only trigger new units/events for the colonial European civs.

The Conquerors events (for first discovery of Maya/Aztecs/Inca) can apply to any non-American civ, including Byzantines.

Maybe will be good add more trade company events to other civs, like the holy roman empire(to Klein venedig-Venezuela or some parts of Canada), Russia (to their interior and to Mandchuria-Vladivostock an to Siberia), the America(to the WEST and to havaii and Philipines) and for Prussia(to their colonies in Africa and in Asia like new-guinea)! :mwaha:

Some things:

An American trading company, if it exists at all, should target the Caribbean and Panama, mostly because Hawaii is almost never settled, and you can take Manila by yourself through less turns. You should be able to settle the West by yourself, no TC required. My opinion: Caribbean if anything, no West or Hawaii.

Russia doesn't deserve a TC event. Any areas they occupied were settled are vacant and weren't seized for Company interest. My opinion: No.

Ditto for the HRE. Emigrants don't count as agents of a Trading Company. My opinion: No.

Prussia can colonize Africa itself, and doesn't need a Trading Company. My opinion: No.
