In light of the recent adds, will you go see this movie which has probably made you really mad? Or will you listen to the add and just ignore that the movie was ever made...
I expected to see it this weakend but the add intrusion and several negative cristisism from forum member make me change my mind.
Especialy the add, hey i was able to right click on it to get an option to mute it. Guess what, it doesnt mute at all, insteed it open the movie's internet site. Talk about a fraudulous way of marketing.
So because they use dirty trick to attrack me then i wont bite their lure. I am not a fish after all.
I over-rode my family this weekend, and took them to see "Dreamcatcher" the new Stephen King movie - instead of "The Core" entirely due to this irritating ad.
That's 4 tickets that went somewhere else due to this brilliant marketing campaign.
Look into site feedback about the core ads, you will find about 8 pages about it. It create a cacophonics-disturbing-annoying-repetetdly fuzzy sound. If you didnt see it, its because you had some protection on.
Wasn't that interested ELECTRICAL SUPERSTORMS to begin with.
Now ELECTRICAL SUPERSTORMS...nah. I'll keep my ELECTRICAL SUPERSTORMS money and put it to better use. Maybe a donation to the ELECTRICAL SUPERSTORMS Weather Channel...
If you've seen the preview in the movie theatre, it looks like it would simply be a "fun", kick-back and relax, don't take it seriously, the night you want to be brain dead, type of movie. From some of the reviews I've read, this is exactly what it is. It's not meant to be taken seriously. Just like all those other cataclysmic events movies, it's made simply as a joy ride.
