Terrain textures missing

Grass seems to be missing like grass is not grainy instead it looks like a completely smooth texture, this started happening after i updated my graphics driver. i have a Intel HD graphics 2000

Are you using the drivers from Intel's website or from your computer manufacturer?

I'm having this exact same problem, right after my Windows 8 upgrade.

Are you sure your graphics settings (of Civ V) aren't on (very) low? If I remember correctly if you put it that low the textures are very ugly (and grass is just a green color).
