I thought it might be the Japanese Special Landing force (marines) but the helmets looked British and the Japanese used the French Adrian helmet so I wanted more information.Sure the Japanese Marine. It's the scene of Shanghai combat in 1932.

It was Japanese early helmet, not British Tommy helmet. And as you say it look like French Adrian helmet. I think maybe the angle of view throws you into confusion.
