Marbozir's First BNW LP as Poland on Emperor!

So I'm usually a lurker around these parts (that's an understatement... *hides join date* ), but I felt a strong need to share this! Now, I'll start by saying that I definitely can't compare to some of the expert players around here (so this LP is not Deity or even Immortal, and I'll probably have some moments, but I wanted to share it anyway!), in Gods & Kings I played on Emperor (which felt just about right for a long time) and won a game or two on Immortal, but Immortal was definitely a big step up. I LOVE warmongering and it's by far my favorite playstyle, though I don't plan going for domination victory in this specific game. Edit: doesn't mean there will be no wars though

Anywah, I've been super excited about Brave New World ever since it was announced Poland will be one of the new civilizations (being Polish myself and having played Civ games since Civ 1). I think I can safely say I've not been this excited about any game in a long time and I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that starting up the first BNW game as Poland was just a moment of pure joy!

Also! I usually do the actual recording on the day of the upload, so any comments and suggestions are always very welcome!

The game setup!
Patch number: 1.0.3.18.
Mods: None.
Difficulty: Emperor.
Map size: Standard.
Map type: Fractal.
Game pace: Standard.
Hand-picked all AI opponents: Morocco, Assyria, Portugal, Zulu, Brazil, Shoshone, Indonesia. (BNW Civs basically)
No advanced options checked, all victory types enabled.

I plan to do my best to upload new part every day.

i played Poland too, and must say they are great for war style. Winged Hussar is so powerful with Ducal Stable, so much fun, looking forward to your LP since i play on Emperor too gl!

Yea, I'm looking forward to "testing" Winged Hussars on my neighbors.
I actually wasn't originally planning to play this one too aggressively, but based on my starting location and my neighbors, I think it's time for change of plans. (not that I mind!)

You need to turn on quick combat (quick movement would be nice as well). Enjoy your vids though and asides (with great Polish accent) You COH2 LP just cracked me up.

Congrats on finally getting the home team in the game!

Hey Marb - I wanted to point you to tommynt's new strategy guide for Poland over in Strategy & Tips, in case you haven't seen it:

Obviously too late for this LP, but maybe you can try it out for Poland II (I'm sure there will be one ) I've been trying it out myself and it seems solid considering that things seem a bit slower overall in comparison to early versions. tommynt is one of the best V players.
