Hello all, I have been planning for a few days and I want to make a fairly ambitious mod. It will break down into 3-4 parts.

1.Buildings/Wonders

2.World Congress Changes
-Changes diplo victory a bit
-A few more resolutions

3. New Civs
-1-2 new civs

4.New Great Works
New great Works: It seems on bigger maps we run out of great works. I plan to add both writings and art. Music will be very difficult as you can't add sounds through modding. Can I manually add the mp3 files aka manual install? I write the xml to look for the file name and all the user has to do is put the files in the correct directory? (ie: Computer-programfiles(x86)-Steam-Steamapps-Common-Sid Meier's Civilization V-Assests-DLC-Expansion2-Sounds-Great Musician) Also there would be no commentary on the writings, there doesn't need to be.

5: Changes to civs
Spoiler :

Changes to these civs I am only changing the UA's.
-India
-Indonesia
-America
-Dutch
-Germany
Spoiler :

Might Change^^^

If you have any ideas I would love to think about them. Also don't expect this to come out for a while, This is still in the "Idea" stage. This is also only my second mod, the first one was a cuban mod for G-K but I had problems with Art ( It looked terrible if anyone can do art I would gladly put you in the special thanks and description of the mod.) I tried to make art but it was pixelized when I changed the size.

After I'm done with ideas and get to coding, I'll post every thing in the mod via spoilers.

This page is dedicated to the details of the 5 parts of the mod from the OP.

If you're changing Germany and America, might I suggest the following new UAs?

Germany: Hanseatic League
- influence with City-States you're trading with drops 50% slower
- +1 gold from trade routes with allied City-States

The Hanseatic League was a trading union that dominated the North European trade during the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. This ability would reflect the Germans' trading prowess. Some Hansa ports were indeed like City-States in Civ terms, having many liberties but still in control of a larger authority, that's why the CS bonus.

America: The American Dream
- Tourism bonus of trade route increased to 33% (normally 25%)

A little trade route boost to make Americans a culture bomber, not just a bomber bomber. Nothing in the early game but quite potent when reaching later periods - just like USA itself!

Not too fond of the German UA, as I already have thought of what i'll do to each civ, that but that American one looks really interesting but sadly I wouldn't know how to code that!

I found the value in global defines, might be able to do that I'll add that to my shipbuilders UA.

Oh, sorry. I hadn't noticed you had already decided the new UAs.

That's ok your idea was really good, only problem was I can't code it without everyone getting that bonus since the tag is under global definitions. I'm open to suggestions, I wan't this mod to improve the expansion.

I'll be sure to let you know if I come up with good ideas!

Buildings

City with snow in its workable tiles can build Ski Resort after building Hotel giving +1 Tourism

City on coast with coastal plains tile with town can build Beach Resort after building Hotel giving +1 Tourism per turn

That wonder sounds extremely close to my Vienna Opera house I think I'll put the GMP on it though. I like the other 2 buildings. Thanks for the suggestion!

The US's UA has changed here is the new one:
America: New UA: Early Innovators: Free Seaport in all cities, get a free great admiral at steam power and rate of great people are earned 10% faster.

I didn't want to make a dummy building for them or give them free harbors to increase sea trade route distances as that would hurt Carthage.

I know what I'm doing to the other civs I'll do them tomorrow. I might do one tonight. If you guys have any ideas for the 2 civs I'm adding, (Cuba and Laos) be sure to let me know. I have thier UA's done but I'm still dumbfounded on UU's/UB's.

Update: UA's for both the Dutch and India are Coded:
*-India: Similar UA: Over Population: Unhappiness from number of Citizens halved. Free Shrines, and produces 33% more food than usual.
*-The Dutch: Similar UA: Golden Resources: Retains 50% of the Happiness benefits from a Luxury Resource if your last copy of it is traded away, and gets more gold on most resources.

Are you working by yourself? If so, good luck mate. Anyway, for great works, add Rembrandt Rijn and any portrait of his. Maybe change Beethoven's 5th Symphony to Fur Elise and Shakespeare's Macbeth to Romeo & Juliet.

Yes I am lol the coding will take a while but its not hard, what is going to be hard and most time consuming is making the art. :(

Good News!!
I have finished coding all the changes to previous civs. I finished coding both Germany and Indonesia, Gajah's was really easy I just took away the.... well just look:
-Germany: New UA: Master Composers: Germany receives a free great musician at acoustics, they get a free amphitheater and cities give 3 culture instead of one.
-Indonesia: Similar UA: Spice Islanders: The first 3 cities each provide 2 unique Luxury Resources (and can never be razed). ( Same as before except with the different landmass condition removed to benefit the AI as it doesn't use the regular trait well.

If you want to see the others their in the 2nd page of this thread under the spoiler called "Changes To Existing Civs."

About the changes you made to some civs, may I suggest some changes:

America:
The American Dream: 50% discount when purchasing tiles and after researching Economics,Great Merchants trade mission grants twice influence with city states and Great Merchants grant a tourism bonus when expanded;

The inspiration for this UA comes from Brazil, which becomes stronger at mid/late game . America's UA could follow the same design .

India:
Dharma: Cities with a majority religion also get the Follower belief bonus of the second most popular religion.

The religion theme of India could be about having bonus on multiple religions on your cities,but following a different path from Indonesia;

Mongolia:
Mongol Terror: Mounted units no longer have penalties when attacking cities and have +1 movement .

Japan:
Bushido: Units fight as though they were at full strength even when damaged . Gains Culture when your units get killed in combat .

About an UA for Laos, what about this one:

"Great People improvements built along a river yield +4 :c5faith:,+4 :c5culture: and +2 :c5happy: when your cities have a fully developed religion(which means a religion with all the 5 beliefs slots filled)"
