 It sounds as though you're leaving our Merry Little Band ... ? I for one (and I know I'm not alone) would miss you and your wonderful creations very much.

Sincerely Hoping I'm Misreading Your Words,

Oz

I'd like to know what has decided you to leave this place Christina. You'll be missed for sure. Will you stay at Storm Over Civ ? I hope so.

All the best,
Manu

Hey, this is Hotel California. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. :) J/k.

I hope you change your mind about leaving...

Hi Zubareva,

thank you for all your work you have given to the Civ 3 community. :):goodjob:

I had a somewhat similar situation when starting posts at CFC. I tried to help another civer with a problem, but I only received replies that became more and more insulting and ended in big personal insults against me and some other civers who tried to help me. Therefore I know: It is important to receive some support by other civers in such situations. I´m still very thankfully to the civers who helped me in that situation a long time ago.

So Zubareva, there is one important thing you should know:

Zubareva, you have my support! :)

yes, you have also my support...you have given the community a new twist in matters of design, let us say a new approach, and personally i am sorry you leave us now, it will be a BIG loss...:(

ps but who the hack did say something bad to zubareva??? :trouble:

Is this only about what happened in the Ask a Red thread or is there another reason?

Zubareva,

Your loss would be a major loss to this community. I hope you are not penalizing your legion of adoring fans because of a few (or one) bad apple. Every community has it's jerks, and although CFC is no exception, we luckily have very few - especially us in the Civ3 modding section (and we all LOVE you). I hope you reconsider. If you really must leave, I hope you stay active at least on SOC. Your talent is tremendous.

Oh no! I don't know what happened but I'm sure it's probably just an isolated incident. I think most of the community here, including me, admires your work greatly. Please don't leave. :(

Her post in the AaR thread was deleted after this small discussion between me, BM and Gojira.

Oh, I had missed that one. I've never been reading much from that part of CFC, because I'm sure it doesn't change anything to what people think of each other and what they believe in. I mean it's not about politics, it's the same with religion (a lot of people were killed because they had the wrong beliefs or the wrong way to pray God, and there are still many people thinking these religions are good). Once someone believes in something, you won't change his mind by talikng to him about your point of view, may you have some solid arguments. It's not worth breaking links with a lot of benevolent and friendly people. ArianeRigor has given her point of view to these people, they have a right to discuss it, ignore it or criticize it. Ignore them and stay with the creative bunch of good guys here at C&C :)

Well Zubareva, I certainly hope that a political disagreement will not be enough to scare you off. There are people from just about every walk of life here and there are bound to be disagreements, especially in OT. Most of the "Ask a..." threads are for ordinary people to ask questions to people who call themselves experts on a topic. If you want to post your own commentary or debate a topic it's probably best to start a new thread on communism yourself and lay down some of your own ground rules in the OP and I'm sure the "reds" will participate and you will be able to better discuss your views in the way you prefer. I have to admit I find many of the "Ask a..." threads (with the exception of Plotinus' wonderful thread on theology) to be a bit too presumptuous and not very good places to discuss issues.

I'm sorry, but if you are quitting CFC because of what happened in the Ask a Red thread, then that is a pretty sad reason for quitting.
