Come on guys, the offseason is over! I didn't think I'd have to be the one to start the new season thread. ;)

Let the celebrations of the new season begin!

Now I know someone else is willing to start them. :p
Although I'd argue the preseason is a gray area.

Re the gif - the visual was bad enough live. And now it's on endless loop.

There are conflicting reports. There are two ESPN insiders giving radically different "sourced" reports. Both reported that Charles suffered a foot strain and negative x-rays, but Adam Schefter had sources telling him the team was "bracing for the worst" while Ed Werder had sources telling him that the team didn't feel the injury was serious. Mike Florio had sources telling him that the Chiefs privately felt the injury was a sprain (implying a ligament injury) though Andy Reid told reporters it was a strain (implying muscle injury) after practice.

In other words, something smells here..........

You mean an NFL team is engaging in obfuscation over injuries? What is the world coming to?

i can't remember a time when preseason games in philly held so much intrigue...probably 1986 when good ole buddy ryan came to town :) yes, the defense looked awful. but it was neat to see the hurry up. eagles are gonna run a lot of plays this year, assuming they can get some first downs. personally, i like foles but vick probably has a slight lead. would love to see barkley make some noise. he looked ok. i actually watched every single snap

Seahawks go 12-4, win superbowl. How likely?

Depends on Harvin's injury, IMHO. Without him the Seahawks offense loses a lot...

Without him, the Seahawks are where they were last season. Not too bad overall :p

Yeah, Harvin's injury is over-estimated. The Seahawks were probably the best team over the full season & playoffs last year, they just happened to lose at the most misfortunate time - the playoffs. They were really a 12-13 win team with an 11-5 record. I think the biggest concern is working with a QB with a 1 year sample size who also had the third highest run attempts. That opens the door for volatility and injury a bit.

Still, if you have to put money on a favourite, it's probably them or maybe Denver.

Since it's an odd numbered year, you can't ignore the possiblity of a SB win for the Giants.

The thing I'm afraid about with the seahawks is the niners having a better record and us getting the 5th seed again and having to play all out playoff games on the road.

Depends on whether we get First Half Seahags or Second Half Seahags.

Yeah, Harvin's injury is over-estimated.

Is it? The NFC west is probably the strongest division in the NFL. Losing the most dynamic part of your offense will hurt. Especially since both the Rams and the Cardinals improved this offseason and they'll have more film on Wilson now...
I really like Wilson, but don't forget he's only a 2nd year player, and if he's going to have to play a lot without his best playmaker on offense it will cause growing pains.
