Expanded Great People Names Redux

This is the new home of the Expanded Great People Names thread.
I will be taking over the project with a backed up copy of iOnlySignIn's modmod that I've downloaded.
I've contacted iOnlySignIn personally and have received permission to continue working on it as well;
if anyone wishes for verification, I will contact iOnlySignIn to verify with you (and cross-verify with Leoreth if need be).

I would also like to set some ground rules for suggestions:

-Not every civ will have a custom EGPN loadout.
-No fictional figures, divine or semi-legendary figures (Guan Yu, Hector, etc.)
-Submissions should follow regional norms (i.e. East Asian submissions should have surname first, given name after,
no Anglicizations for non-American/English GPs, etc.)
-I am the final authority on whether an individual is included into the modmodmod as well,
although this does not exclude the possibility of convincing me otherwise with a well reasoned argument.

Lack of notability.

Each civ must be able to accommodate 8-10 GPs across the board in every category.
I can perhaps make an exception for 6 if the supply of GPs proves large enough.

Have you considered Toyotomi Hideyoshi for a GG? He was arguably the most prominent (in terms of military victories) of the three generals that united Japan.

I have considered him. If I give him a spot, I will likely oust Date Masamune.

citis, I will review your suggestions in the morning, thank you for your contributions.

remove herodotos form the great-artists list, because he is a aslo a great merchant. In fact he is the founder of history-writing. But, he has no position among poets and drama writers, the merchant list has too few and herodotos was a good explorer as well.

How about add Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot as Great Spy? This could ignore the nationality.

They aren't real spies. Sherlock Holmes was in the imagination or Arthur Conan Doyle and Hercule Poirot was in the imagination of Agatha Critie. I don't like that category, because spies are too few to make a list. I think it should be replaced by politicians/lawyers/judges/activists(/and maybe spies as well), since the spy specialist is enabled by courts and jails there are appropriate great people to fill this. Also the security bureau should become a social institute enabled by democracy and it's ability to overthrow spies can go to intelligence center. I know that counter-espisionage and espisionage organisations are different but there is no reason to show this distinction in the game.

On the topic of Great Spies, here is what I am going to do.
I will accept only diplomats, spies and assassins, and this will be the one with the most leeway and is not subject to the uniform 6, 8, 10 quotas for each civ.

I will NOT accept politicians or activists.

But either way, I would like to put Great Spies on the queue for now;
everything else takes precedence, and I'd like to get some Russian GPs going soon.
Also, I will personally handle Great Artists for all civs as well.
Does that sound fair to anyone? (I am an art student, and have studied quite a bit of art history) I will still take suggestions for Great Artists though.

I looked at that thread. The reason why Heinz Guderian spawned for Wilhelm and then only generic Great Generals afterwards is because the HRE & Prussia share a list AFAIK.

Yes they do. Their list can be longer as a consequence.

Yes, the list is much too short for them both. The ones I listed were exclusively for Prussia. Maybe they should get separate lists now that Austria is in the 1700 AD scenario?

You should include at least one of these: Kallino, Alkman, Archilochos, Psappho
Also you should include at least one of these: Aischylos, Sophocles, Euripides
And you should include absolutely Pheidias, he was the greatest sculptor.

Too many sculptors (5???), ancient greeks were more interested in drama and poetry than statues. (Remember the UHC: discover Literature and Drama). Scalptors are in the aestetics technology. This list needs at least one drama writer and one poet. You included the founders but that's not enough.
