Scaled promotion button shows up as a pink square

I used the button of the Wolf Pack unit from FfH as the button for a new promotion. Now the tinier version of the button is not displayed correctly:


Strangely enough, a button I created with GIMP myself (I think I used a template by The_J) is displayed correctly (first one in the screenshot).

I tried to load and save the image in GIMP. The output from GIMP was 17 MB instead of 5 as well as my working button, but had the same issue.

The only reason I can think of for the button working elsewhere but not in your hover over is if your mod is using BULL and you have white space (usually a space) somewhere in the full path name of the icon. Eg if it was Art/Promotons/Wolf Pack.dds it would be pink but if you changed it to Art/Promotions/Wolf_Pack.dds it would be fine. A space in the folder names will also cause this.

If your mod does not use BULL then this probably does not help.
