What if Fox News was the only source of News

Since they would not have to compete against other news netwroks, they would be more mainstream instead of trying to carve out the gullible and old as their demographic.

I agree with JR on this one. I think the same applies to MSNBC( to a lesser degree and in a different manner, but you know what I mean. )

The monolithic dinosaur news is on its way out anyhow. Everybody I know who regularly watches Fox or MSNBC is at least 45.

The main broadcasting networks are doing pretty well, though. Maybe the 24-hour news channel was just a fad until the internet took over as the primary news source.

People might have to read the paper or listen to the radio!

and you can find out the truth from other sources?

That is an amusing conceit

The other sources only publish what the want you to hear.
That is not news.

Chrysler would be the only source for automobiles.
Godfather's would be the only source of pizza.
Exxon would be the only source of energy.
Family Guy would be the only cartoon.

Fox is the only major news source in the US that lies as a matter of policy.

I have no proof of that. As such, I will accept only, 'YOU' think they lie.

I do know that the other news services simply dont cover the news I want to hear about.

Fox sent lawyers to court to assert their right to not have to tell the truth.
It's policy.

Try googling Jane Akre.

But, of course, if you watch Fox News you'd have no way of knowing that.

Fox lying is not debatable. They went to court to win the right to do so.

Silence is lying? That is quite interesting.
Refusing to accomodate the views of your employee?
Then my employer lies all the time. What a drag.

Maybe, she was not convincing
Maybe, she 'IS' not convincing

No Bro, not reporting the facts and making stuff up is lying. Fox went to court to have the right to do that. They are not a real news network.
Fox fought a case so they wouldn't have to tell the truth or report actual facts, thats called lying.
