TTT Modern Alliances New 1914 version

I always liked playing dacubz TTT Modern Aliances. He did a great job. But it is not quite finished yet. At this moment he is not responding to his thread. I sent him a pm to ask permission to adapt his Modern Aliance mod. So far he did not respond.
In the mean time i altered the mod to my own liking. And i wanted to share this with other players.

Here are some changes i made for now:

Spoiler :
* Added goods factory for the largest cities. Works like the Road to War factory.
* Added route: Secondary Road.
* Added 3 submarine visibility classes. In the default TTT MA submarine weren't visible at all.
* Limited worker force. You can capture workers and recapture workers.
* No airlifting possible
* Cultural victory is off
* Added buildings for all civs.
* Added medics (from 1939 WW2 Mod). Medic promotion for units is not available.
* Added bunkers and trenches. Also from the World War II - 1939 Mod
* Made unique units more important. Limited the default unit. Ex.: Only a few default medium tanks can be built but you can build many more Shermans, panzers or T34's.
* Limited default infantry. The largest civs can build more infantry.


Unfortunately the known bugs are not solved yet. Germany and UK cannot trade resources for some reason. Civics cannot be changed. j mie 6 has offered to look at this when he has the time. My own skilles don't go beyond xml at this moment.
You CAN however change civics in world builder very easy!!!

Future changes:

* add scenario 1941
* add unique infantry graphics for wwII infantry
* add elite infantry


Download, unpack and put it in the mod folder. Copy the original file if you prefer the other version.

Progress on the 1941 scenario:

* adding unique ww2 infantry graphics for the largest civs (Germany, Japan, Russia, USA, UK, China, France, Italy) done
* goods factory survives after conquest. done
* no airlifting done
* Healing is harder, especially in enemy territory. No healing promotions. Only limited medics and ambulances available. done
* adapting the 1914 world map to 1941. This takes a lot of time and research. I will not spend a lot of time naming the divisions. I will however try to place the december 1941 starting positions as accurate as possible. Researching army build up:
- panzerarmy: 3x corps containing 3 tankdiv., 2 motorized div and 3 inf div
- german army: 5x corps containing 3 inf div each.
- soviet armies: 3 inf corps containg 7 inf(rifle) div. + 1 mech corps containing 2 tank div+ 1 motorized div
- other civs armies are in research :crazyeye: suggetions are welcome :D

Like i said before, i'm not going to be as accurate as dacubz or kiwitt, but i'll try


Placing units for the battle for Moscow, a looooot of work. Couldn't help playtesting it :D it looks nice, now on to other frontline massacres!!!

African front almost finished. Then on to the asian front!
 
It looks like good work. WEll done!

This seems interesting (specially the 1941 scenario) and I'll check the thread once in a while. When the more critical bugs are fixed I'll try it out!

this is one of my fav mods, but as you mentioned, still has some bugs to fix.

civic bug is still a problem. it is probably something ver simple. i've noticed the ai IS changing civics.

Luthor saxburg and academia, can you tell me what the other bugs are you've encountered?

I'm giving all my spare time for the 1941 scenario ( wich isn't a lot), so it will take a while. I'm currently adding civs, like Finland, Vichy and Poland. Although Poland is already under German control in 1941, the polish culture gives a lot of anger i think, therefore a more realistic touch.

At first i will not name the division and place them historicaly accurate. This takes a lot of time and i like playing it too much. But i'll try to bee as accurate as possible.

On behalf of WW2 loving community :crazyeye: (sounds creepy) I have a very emotional and personal appeal to you.

Listen ... can you PLEASE help us big time? The 1939 mod you have mentioned is absolute unpolished gem. It does require very limited ... polishing. Basically fixing Air Combat (details available) and making stupid AA gun work, duh.

At the moment i'm using stuff from the 1939 mod for my 1941 scenario. In thepast i have already made some changes for the 1939 mod :

I wanted to work on that mod but this one is more interesting. Bigger map, way more civs, units.

If you can be a bit more specific on what you want to change in the 1939 mod, i'll see what i can do. No promises though, because my rare spare time is already consumed by this scenario. I want to use the best of the 2 mods.
 
I liked tech tree and some kind of dark feel that mod would give to me. And almost every major WW2 was included there. Your update probably came after author's update, because in the last version one can build nukes, load infantry, etc...

Let's start with very simple request: AA gun. It does not damage or kill planes, or engage them in anyway, except for its anti-plane strength bonus :(

I can't wait either but progress is abit slow but addictive. I have finally found a good wiki page with the orders of battle for december 1941. There are a lot for 1941 barbarossa so i'm getting more accurate by the day but it slows down a release date.
plus the fact that my 2 year old son destroyed my chechlist:aargh:

No it is not compatible. Make a copy of the original TTT mod. I will ajust the name when i have my 1941 scenario ready. Eastern front is almost ready (battle for moscow), then moving on to african front, Japanaese assault, etc.

most likely never. But author of the mod is working on the brand new scenario "In the trenches".

Would you be interested in MP game against me and another dude in PBEM format?
