Need Help on future Development
I put this back here with all 3d models removed, and a much better hero system.
But I can only put this back on steam with all blizzard stuff replaced with new items that are free of copyright issues.
In my three kingdoms mod, I was able to get permission to use a set of commercial art asset, and it's a happy cooperation with the game company. I hope I can do it again for this mod.

I only have limited skill and time and I can't do this alone.
I wonder if someone are interested in help porting this mod to a new fantasy world?
You don't need to be a moder or a skilled coder to join this. You can be a big help if you can do these:
  • Familiar with another fantasy game, have passion to design units/techs/buildings/heroes, and especially If you can get a copyright permission
  • Good at 2D art, can help replace the warcraft talent/artifact icons, you don't need to redraw them all, replace with open source icons are ok
  • Good at communication, can help contact game companies and open source art creators to get their permission
  • You have a fantasy mod, and are willing to share your assets, I can port the Hero system to your mod and build a branch of your mod with this Hero sytem

Features:
  • New Talent System : 7 class of Heroes, each class has 16 completely different Talents, including Hero Power, Charged Abilities and Passive Talents
  • Charged Abilities : Most powerful abilities has limited charges that can only be used for a few times
  • Adventures : You can cast adventures in enemy's turn, you can counter an enemy hero's spell or save yourself with a healing or town portal abilities, you'll be busy after press "Next Turn" button
  • DLL change : New game rules like variable HP max, Mana system to cast skills/spells.
  • 7 Factions : Terran, Zerg, Protoss, Human, Elf, Orc and Undead, with completely different Tech tree, Units, Buildings, Improvements, and different strategy and fun to play.
  • 16 Races : 16 Races from Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo, each Race start with 3 National Heroes.
  • Transform : Units can transform, like a Siege Tank can transform between Siege Mode and Tank Mode.
  • Heroes : Revised hero system based on Heroes of Might and Wisdom and Heroes of Allstars Mods, 7 classes of Heroes that can unlock different Talents, Abilities and equip different Artifacts.
  • Abilities : Skills that damage multiple targets; Spells that cripple enemy; Auras that summon and enhance Minions; and Adventure Abilities that can save you on enemy's turn.
  • Talents : Besides promotions, Heroes can also learn Talents that enhance their abilities.
  • Artifacts : 12 classes, 96 different Artifacts, Fight the Barbarian Monsters to find them.
  • Prefixes : Random Prefixes and Suffixes are created when Artifact drop, making each Artifact unique.
  • Potions : From Abilities kill, Heroes gain potions that can heal wounds, restore Mana, learn some experience or even transform into a real monster.
  • HeroTraits : Random HeroTrait give each Hero a special bonus in each Game.
  • Barbarians : Barbarian are now Monsters! Ogres, Demons and Dragons, powerful but drop good Reward when killed.
  • Policies : New policies that grant Heroes with better Artifacts, Talents or Kill bonus.
  • Wonders : Wonders can unlock World Heroes or Super Units, to help you build your Army.
  • Victories : Domination is the only way to win the game, but Hyperion Project(replace Spaceship) and Overmind Project(replace Utopia) will make your victory much easier.

I'd love to try it, but I have BNW, so the mods being compatible with G&K that's preventing me from doing it. Are you going to make this mod compatible with BNW as well?

PS: I can't see any of the screenshots in your spoilers.
 
This update should fix most known bug and issues, also add some great person and natrual wonders.

Beta 2 Change log:
Fix a bug that normal units don't heal HP by fortifying
Fix bug that you can't visit tavern when a Hero is died
Fix bug that Shado-Pan Monastary don't grant free workers
Fix a UI bug that cause game crash when exit to main menu
Add Great Warrior(Great General) that can Discover Barbarian Camp, you earn it by Skill/Adventures Experience
Add Great Elder that can heal Mana, you earn it by Spell/Auras Experience
Add natrual wonders(most from Warcraft MOD)
Fallen Heroes need to wait 10 turns to reivie
More yields from natrual wonders and specialists
Swift Caster and Thunder Strike Talents now reduce Spell and Skill Movement cost by half(from no movement)

Known Bugs:
The Swap equipments UI sometimes cause game crash when you exit to Main Menu(or loading in game)
 
Do all the units have animations too?
 
it won't load i have no other mods enabled, it disables bnw than on the setup screen i click start than nothing it never gets past the loading screen after that. left it for 5 mins it still didn't load using huge map :sad:
 
seems a config problem, since this works on many machines.
I can't reproduce this on my machine, so you need to help me debug it.

and post a LUA log here, or tell me the Error message in Live Tuner, the error message should help me debug the problem

besides, there are only 16 civs, setup a game on a huge map with more than 16 civs will crash
