Second place goes to TyfoonTurk with a 1735 AD (t258) Diplomacy victory while goes to kigur with a 1745 AD (t260) Diplomacy win.

So the quickest way to victory wasn't settlement petra/mountain spot but eliminate of all but one civ, and victory in atomic era

i settled on starting position

Me too, but I read after actions thread and even Tommy with Petra/mountain spot was slower (apparently he didn't submit)

With all of that salt around and no mountains in sight, why take the risk looking for a better spot (settled on the sheep hill) ? In hindsight the mountain petra spot would probably have been better.
Low difficulty level = tiny army for barb hunting / milking. Signed a couple RAs while they were cheap. Full tradition + some patronage + full rationalism + a bit of freedom. World conquest was ridiculously easy mostly using freedom army split in 3 (2 Foreign Legions for each task force).
