Hello everybody,

I'm playing C2C version 33 and I'm having a hard time figuring out the economy rules.

1) In one city, my stone tools maker produces 16 hammers while in another city (same game, same turn) another stone tools maker produces only 4 hammers.

2) When I found my first city, my income drops to -5 gold/turn (with 100% tech). However, when I get any income, e.g. from having caves in the vicinity after researching cave dwelling ( +1 gold) or making a stone tools maker, my income rises to -1 gold/turn (with 100% tech), a difference of +4 gold which is much more than the extra income from the caves or stone tools maker.

Where do these differences come from?

Can you post some screenshots (with you cursor on the hammers/gold to see the details)?

v33 some building commerces values were doubling. One thing that happens when you get any housing building, whichever is your first, you LOSE the default homelessness building which is probably causing an economic drain at first. The effect is then more pronounced due to the doubling (which has been fixed since.)

Alright, here some attachments with screenshots from 2 different cities, same game same turn. The stone tools maker in the first city produces -1 hammers, in the second city the stone tools maker produces 12 hammers.

P.S. I'm playing version 33 instead of 34 because my computer is way too old and after 10 or so hours of play, I get a memory error and crash to desktop. Usually not a problem thanks to autosave but version 34 becomes corrupt (need to delete and reinstall mod, a simple reboot and deleting cache doesn't work) and with version 33 the program can simply be started again.

wow... I don't know what would present that issue with the stone tools workshop.

But v34 did have some ram issues which have been resolved by removing a number of civs from the base game core - makes older games incompatible in some cases but the SVN I think has overcome those compat issues (I think).
