luajit performance

hi all,

just did a little test with luajit enabled, and it is quite impressive ... spreadsheet is attached, but the summary is: 40% speedup! so i can only recommend it to everybody.

I knew that, I was wondering more in terms of installation instructions. Once I used my brain I realized there are instructions included.

Copy/pasted cause why not:

1/ Unzip this file

2/ in the Civ V application folder, rename existing lua51_Win32.dll to something else (or move it somewhere else), and replace with the downloaded file (which needs to be renamed to lua51_Win32.dll)

3/ run the game as usual!

Very simple.

Nice! I use a couple of older mods (Cultural Capitals/CivWillard) which doesn't work with Luajit however (errors in lua.log). I've been searching the web for a solution but unfortunately haven't found any

Yeah, I was impressed. I had heard about it, but I hadn't fiddled with it until a few days ago. Seemed a crime not to share.
