Mafia Hosting Queue
2015


If you wish to host a game, request a spot on the appropriate queue in this thread along with the game’s name.

You are allowed a maximum of two games on the queue, with at least five people between each game.​

Large Game​
  • Any game with more than 20 players.
  • These types of games belong on the Large Game Queue (located in post #2 of this thread).
  • Only one Large Game can be run at a time.
  • If you are next on the queue, you may open sign-ups before the current Large Game ends, so that your game can start once the current one finishes.

Small Game​
  • Any game with 11 - 20 players.
  • These types of games belong on the Small Game Queue (located in post #2 of this thread).
  • Generally, only one Small Game can be run at a time.
  • If you are next on the queue, you may open sign-ups before the current Small Game ends, so that your game can start once the current one finishes.

Mini Game​
  • Any game with 10 or fewer players.
  • These types of games do not have to be placed on any queue.
  • There is no limit to the number of concurrent mini games.
  • You may start a mini game any time you like.

Small Game Queue​
  • Atonement: The Battle for Autolycus's soul, hosted by Autolycus
  • Mad Max Fury Road: Onto Valhalla, hosted by Kennigit
 
The queue should now be correct and up-to-date.

I've removed the following games from the old queue:

Lost Mafia, robbiecon. This request was posted in Oct 2013, and robbiecon has not posted on CFC in over a year.

Age of Kings, Visorslash. This request was posted in Oct 2013. Visorslash hasn't said anything about it since, but he kept a note to keep it at the bottom of the queue. He also hasn't been seen in over a month.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, topsecret. This request was posted in Dec 2013, and topsecret hasn't said anything about it since. topsecret last posted on CFC two weeks ago, and last posted in Mafia/NOTW a few months ago to sign up for a game in which he did not participate.

Untitled Large Game and Small Game, Mat93. This request was posted in Feb 2014 and last progress update was in Mar 2014. Mat93 has not posted on CFC in almost eight months.

I'm debating whether to remove the following games (marked with an asterisk in the queues) -- would like the hosts to confirm they are still planning to host (if they don't respond within the next week, I will remove them):

Stargate Universe, Sprig. This request was posted in Oct 2013, and Sprig hasn't said anything about it since. However, Sprig is still active on the site.

The Final Frontier, KingMorgan. This request was posted in Dec 2013, and KingMorgan hasn't said anything about it since. He originally used this spot to open sign-ups for The Hymn of Hot and Cold, but that ended up being a small game. KingMorgan is still active on the site.

Culture, Sprig. This request was posted in Oct 2013, and Sprig hasn't said anything about it since. However, Sprig is still active on this site.

And these games are definitely staying on the queue:

Watch the Throne, Zack. Originally requested as "None Shall Pass 2" in Apr 2014. I asked Zack about this spot, and he said he can host Watch the Throne after Takhisis' current game.

Soul Scourge, Kennigit. This request was originally made in Dec 2013, and he reported progress just last month.
 
Culture has had no work done. My initial idea had some problems that i hadn't been able to overcome without investing more time into it. This can be dropped.

Stargate is progressing nicely. I am quite pleased with its current state. Just need to sort out some balancing issues and writing up the content. This will still take some time however so no immediate eta.

Anywhos, I have a small NotW that doesn't have a name yet that you can throw on the end and I might let some more people in before it based on how I feel as a capable host.
 
KingMorgan said in private that he doesn't plan to host his game soon if others are more ready, so I moved his game to the end of the queue. If he objects to this, I'll move his game back to the top.

Will you be able to host after Takhisis' game? This probably means your game would need to start sometime in mid February at the latest. I ask because I have a game I'd ready to host, and that time-slot is probably the latest I'll be able to host a game until the fall. EDIT: On reflection, this might seem like I'm trying to pressure you into letting me supersede you -- if your game can be ready soon, go ahead and host it.

This should conclude the updating and clean-up of the queue, and now it will be back to operating normally (start at the top and go down -- if host at the top isn't ready, ask the next host, and so on; request a spot on the queue and you get put on the end).

Oh. I assumed it was desirable to have the same game limits on both. The only real difference between mafia and NotW is the RP, correct (which is generally in a fantasy setting)?
 
Upon further review, I'm probably looking at a mafia game here. I have a fantasy setting a little bit of character backstory for RPing, but lack a bunch of factions, items, strength, ect. I know those things aren't required, but I notice they are common. Someone correct me if I am wrong as I think I've only played one NotW.

You don't even know what it's about! :p

It's going to be a political thriller and the spiritual successor to a game I hosted almost four years ago, and a reshaping of the planned spiritual successor rotting in development hell. Players will run in elections and vie for power and political favor, all while trying to eliminate the competing mafia teams trying to orchestrate a coup.
