SUPER WORKER II - Mod Version 2.0
- updated 14.5.2015 -

This mod allows your workers to learn and improve over time. They learn how to build better farms, to search for resources,to use mountains, terraform unwanted terrain and much more. Let your workers gain experience and watch, how they transform your entire empire. This is truely "making the planet your playground"!

Gameplay:

Workers gain experience every time they finish building an improvement or road. Every ten builds they gain a level and you can choose a new promotion. Each promotion gives your workers new abilities. Be careful to choose the right path - the most powerful promotions need specialisation!

Includes Usable Peaks, Terraforming, new Improvements, Transcontinental Railway and much more.


I took the idea from this mod, therefore its called Super Workers II.

Promotionlines:

1. Experienced farm-builder:

I: requires tech "Bronze Working" - worker needs 30% less time to build a farm.
II: requires tech "Engeneering" and Farmbuilder-Promotion I - can build farms without irrigation
III: requires tech "Chemistry" and Farmbuilder-Promotion I - new build farms give +1 food
IV: requires tech "Biology" and Farmbuilder-Promotion III - new build farms give +1 food and have a good chance to find valuable resources
V: requires tech "biology" and Fb-Promotion IV: Transforms your worker into a "Great Farming Engineer" (Great Person).

Great Farming Engineers can
- join your city, giving +1Food/Farm in Cityarea
- Improve all city farms to better farms (see Farmbuilder-Promotion III) instantly. also adds farms where that is possible
- join your city as a teacher in your local university, giving all existing and new workers +10 Experience (can only be done once)


2. Desertworker

I: requires tech "Mining" - can build mines on desert
II: requires tech "Mathematics" and Promotion Desert-Worker I - can build farms and cottages on oasis
III: requires tech "Scientific Method" and Promotion Desert-Worker I - can build improvement "prospector camp" - which gives +2 Trade and has an excellent chance to find oil!
IV: requires tech "Ecology" and promotion Desert-WorkerIII - can terraform desert into plains
V: requires tech "Ecology" and promotion Desert-WorkerV - transforms your Worker into a "Great Desert Engineer" (Great Person)

Great Desert Engineers can:
- build wonder "Desertec" (requires at least one desert in cityarea), giving clean energy to all cities on the continent
- Terraform all city deserts to plains instantly
- join your city as a teacher in your local university, giving all existing and new workers +10 Experience (can only be done once)


3. Expert Road-Worker

I: requires tech "Masonry" - requires 30% less time to build a road
II: requires tech "machinery" - allows entering peaks and building roads, thus making peaks passable!
III: requires tech "Railroad"and promotion Roadworker I - requires 30% less time to build railroad
IV: requires tech "Railroad"and promotion Roadworker III - transforms your Worker into a "Great Road Engineer" (Great Person)

Great Road Engineers can:
- build Transcontinental Railway - instantly building a railwaytrack to any plot on the continent (own or foreign)
- instantly build railwaytracks on all citytiles
- join your city as a teacher in your local university, giving all existing and new workers +10 Experience (can only be done once)

4. Forestry-Worker

I: requires tech "bronze-working" - needs 30% less time to cut forest or jungle
II: requires tech "iron-working" and promotion forestry-worker I - adds +10 production when cutting forest or jungle
III: requires tech "replacable parts" and promotion forestry-worker II - can build lumbermills that give +1 production - also on jungles!
IV: requires tech "ecology" and promotion forestry-worker III - can plant a new forest!
V: requires tech "ecology" and promotion FW IV: transforms your Worker into a "Great Forestry Engineer" (Great Person)

Great Forestry Engineers can:
- join your city, giving +1Production/Lumbermill in Cityarea
- Improve all city lumbermills to better lumbermills(see forestry-Promotion III) instantly. also adds lumbermills where that is possible
- join your city as a teacher in your local university, giving all existing and new workers +10 Experience (can only be done once)

5. Mining-Engeneer

I: requires tech "mining" - reduces time to build a mine by 30%
II: requires tech "engeneering" and promotion Road II - allows building a mine on peaks (needs a road first!)
III: requires tech "machinery" and promotion Mining I - can build a mine that gives +1 production
IV: requires tech "chemistry" and promotion Mining II - can build a mine that gives +1 production and good chances to find valuable resources
V: requires tech "chemistry" and promotion Mining IV: transforms your Worker into a "Great Mining Engineer" (Great Person)

Great Mining Engineers can:
- join your city, giving +1Production/Mine in Cityarea
- Improve all city mines to better mines(see Mining-Promotion IV) instantly. also adds mines where that is possible
- join your city as a teacher in your local university, giving all existing and new workers +10 Experience (can only be done once)


6. Arctiv Engeneering

I: requires tech "machinery" - allows building farms on tundra
II: requires tech "scientific method" and promotion Arctic I - can build improvement prospector camp, which gives +2 Trade and good chances to find methane
III: requires tech "Ecology" and promotion Arctiv II - can terraform tundra into plains!
IV: requires tech "Ecology" and promotion Arctiv II - can terraform ice into tundra!
V: requires tech "ecology" and promotion Arctic IV: transforms your Worker into a "Great Arctic Engineer" (Great Person)

Great Arctic Engineers can:

- Instantly terraform all arctic or ice plots to plains
- join your city as a teacher in your local university, giving all existing and new workers +10 Experience (can only be done once)


New Improvement:
Prospector Camp: Send out an expedition into the desert or into the wild north to find oil or methane for your energyhungry cities. Adds +2 Trade and has a very good chance to find oil/methane if being worked by your city.

New Wonder:
Project Desertec: Make use of your deserts and build solarpowerplants - giving clean energy to all your cities on this continent

All changes are marked with "Super Worker Mod". Feel free to use as you like, thank you for giving credits. By the way: used some new methods for giving promotions to workers in this mod, also for terraforming.

I playtested this mod, but only played through two games with it. So please report any possible bugs to me :)
If anyone has a good idea for other "great archivements" the new great workers could do, let me know.

I just uploaded version 2.0

changes:

- Added "Great Workers" for each promotion line. These are Great Person units, that can do the usual stuff (Golden age, scienceboost etc), but also have their own abilities:

- Great Faming Engineers, Great Mining Engineers and Great Forestry Engineers can join a city adding +1/Food or 1Production per Farm/Mine/Lumbermill. This Bonus changes, if you add an improvement (or loose one).

- They also can improve all said improvements of a city instantly to their best version. Great Road Engineers add railwaytracks to all citytiles. Great Desert and Great Arctic Engineers terraform city deserts/tundra/ice to plains. Consumes the unit.

- All Great Workers can join a city to become teachers. Requires an university in your city. Adds +10 Experience for all existing workers and all newly build ones. Can only be build once per promotionline.

- Great Road Engineers can build a "transcontinental railway". Just pick a plot and the Engineer will build a track to that plot. Consumes the unit.

- Great Desert Engineers can build world wonder "Dersertec". Gives clean energy to all your cities on the continent. Requires at least one desertplot in the cityarea. Can only be build once and consumes the unit.

- also changed the promotionlines a bit.

I have two copies one from March which is 11 Mb and one from May which is 6 Mb. Unfortunately I have reached my upload limit at the moment, should get a new limit in a couple of days.
