Congratulations to Mad2rix for the highest score of the update with a Large, Marathon, Chieftain, Domination game for 1,294,900 points.

Tatran was the most active player during this update, submitting 5 games.

kcd_swede was the most active player during this update, submitting 5 games.

Only 3 players were brave enough to take on Deity this update:

Hah... I've already tried that one at least 8 times.

But if someone beats me (or should I say "when"?) I could take it up again if I don't have too much on my hands.

And congrats to chaotichero for just nipping me by a turn in the Minor. :goodjob:

How you managed to play almost 800 turns in less than 4:30 hours, I have no idea. That is about 3 turns per minute :crazyeye:

I've clocked up over 10 hours already, and am around turn 150 :lol:

...all told I'm sure I spent more than 10hrs. Playing fast is not always playing well. A poster (I think it is TheMeInTeam) has a number of youtube videos on streamlining the play time.

And my basic philosophy is that if I don't know which of my options is best, just pick one and hope for the best. Sometimes I get lucky. :lol:

I find that even when I carefully analyze all the options, I still make bad choices. So why dwell on them - just do it and see what happens. :cool:

I've had a look at how we can more easily publicise / highlight these things and unfortunately it's not easy in the current set-up, I do have some ideas but they are complicated and I will need to discuss with the rest of the staff.

Many congrats aitkensam - must admit to being a bit gutted because I submitted a game in that slot as well this update - it would have been #1 but now only #2!!

I just checked the submissions for this slot and seems there are only three ever. One from Oct-2007 and our two last time. Pretty amazing coincidence.

Anyhow, I think I'll be giving Time games a rest for a while (just trying them out for QMs sake) so we shouldn't bump into each other again.
