If I get Civilization IV (Complete Edition) on Steam, would it be the exact same as my current version (Beyond the Sword, 3.19)? So, I could use all my savegames, all my mods, and so on? Or does Steam handle mods differently? Can I load my game by double clicking on a savegame, instead of launching the game with a shortcut or its .exe?

Mhm, so apparently I can't directly load my savegames anymore, according to this. Has a fix been created, as far as anyone knows?

I think you'd have to download the 3.19 version game that is available from Steam, the one were direct IP connexion still is available in multiplayer. I think the Steam version is more like 3.2x

My game says I have 3.19 though; Final Build and all that. I tried manually applying the 3.19 patch from here, just to be sure, but that patch instantly closed itself, so... Yeah...
