LUAJIT and Lua - Testers Needed

Hey all,

Ilteroi was kind enough to recompile a LUAJIT DLL for the CP that should fix a rare (but reproduce-able) crash that can occur while the CP is loaded.

If you want to help test these files for quirks/issues/bugs/incompatibilities, that'd be wonderful.

I've attached the files here (and dropped them in the MEGA downloads folder, for good measure). There are two such files, one the standard LUA and one the LUAJIT file. If you use the LUAJIT one, rename it to match the other file, and then drop it here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\

It will overwrite the DLL of the same name (so back that one up if you want). The LUAJIT boasts much better performance for LUA mods, however it may have incompatibility issues with LUA-intensive mods, such as E&D. Anyways, test them both and report back if you have any issues. They're savegame compatible.

The most recent version of luajit that has been made by its original author is also much smaller in size than his own previous version.
 
The luaJIT version seems to solve the regular crash I was having when returning to the main menu from a modded game (when using luaJIT, of course). Probably needs more stress testing, but so far so good.
 
So far so good here, but played only a couple of hours with only a few reloads (from the main menu of course).

Ok, sorry, I probably jinxed it. I needed to reload, so I exited to main menu without problem, but after I selected the save to load, I got a CTD. I restarted the game, loaded the same save, without prob.

There are 2 runtime errors at the very bottom of the lua.log - please see the attachment. Is this related to LuaJit?

Yup, you jinxed it ;)

I've had recurrences of the quick CTD and also had it hang when loading a save (after successful return to main)

EDIT: This version also causes the engine to crash in Worlbuilder when generating anything beyond the first map... at least in my case.
