staznes- From the Dawn of Time

Yes I can support 3 NES's, Ill be updating more reguarly now that i have even more time. Hopefully every 2 days.

Welcome to my fourth NES!

This NES, as you probably have guessed, is based off of Jason’s (stjnes4) Skilord’s (Absolution) and Naervod’s (stnanes). It is story, and ill try to update every two days. It is also winnable.

There are restrictions in military size:
1. None
2. tiny
3. small
4. medium
5. large
6. very large
7. gigantic
8. Imperial

You can mobilize your army for a bonus in attacking. To mobilize a size three army (medium) and below, it takes 1 turn. For every size going up it increases a turn (Large would be 2 turns, Very Large would be 3 turns). You must one wait turn after your army finishes mobilizing to have the effect (so if I have a medium army and say mobilize in my orders, I can't attack with mobilized army the same turn)

To Increase your economy, you must do something first - build roads, decrease taxes, do something. If you want to increase economy, that is the only thing you can increase in a turn. It takes one turn.

Economy Sizes:
Depression
Recession
Failing
Stable
Growing
Prosperous
Outstanding

Confidence in leader is usually determined by how often you write stories and can give good bonuses

You can make wonders, and say what they do. I will then determine the amount of turns it takes.

You cant upgrade military and economy at the same turn.

Ugrading miltary tech level costs one economy and decreases whatever branch your upgrading.

I will determine when each person advances an age. Education helps. And confidence helps slightly.

Education Levels:
1. backwards
2. poor
3. illiterate
4. literate* (limit until industrial age)
5. bright
6. intelligent
7. very intelligent

You may have UU's that you make. You can only have one per nation per age. You make it and describe it, but don’t make it to extravagant!

You may create your own civ. Here is the Template:

Nation Name
Ruler:
Government: (only despotism or tribal, or religious)
Army: (small or tiny or medium without a navy)
Navy: (small or tiny)
Age: Stone Age
Education: Poor
Confidence in Leader: Medium
Also include at the bottom a little indication of where the civ is located.

Hope i didnt copy too much of your stuff jason:p

Ages:
Stone Age
Copper Age
Barbarian Age
Bronze Age
Iron Age
Classical Age- current age
Dark Age
Colonial Age
Imperial Age
Industrial Age
Pre Modern Age
Modern Age

UU's:
Stone Age
Germany: Oso Legions- elite forces of the germans.
Phoenicia: Phoenician Citizenry- A loose militia similar to stone age warrior, except they are more vicious in attacking and quick at moving.
California: Angelista- Fast-moving, agressive warriors with stone axes, skilled in moving and fighting in mountains
Story to come later.
Korea: Turtle tririeme - A primitive ship armed with arrows and powered by rowing shipmates with an iron hull covering the deck to protect the inhabitants from enemy projectiles.
Hawaii: Wave riders- These are soldiers with the abiltiy to use the surf to suprise the enemy through amphibious landings. They are all issued with a wodden plank, known as a 'surfplank' to ride the waves.
Indochina: Warrior-Priest- A soldier who is blessed by the high priests with divine blessing and religious powers, making him more powerful in combat.

Copper Age
Mayans: Ceremonial Priest- A field-shaman, who acts as a medic and prays to the gods before every battle. Good for the Moral of the troops.
Phoenicia: Phoenician Bowman- The elite copper forces of the Kingdom. Versatile soldiers good for attack and defense. Widely feared.
China: Rice Farmer- Can bring huge amounts of food faster and more easily.
Macedonia: Axemen- They are feircly loyal to Phillip and fight to the death.
California-Sioux: Legione de Cobre- Heavilly armored infantry with extra-long copper spears, short copper swords, and large copper shields. Slow, but excellant at defense and at garrisonning resisting settlements.

Barbarian Age

Bronze Age
Greenland: Icelander Bowman- Bowman who specializes in offense.
Bantu: Bantu Hunter- Hunts like a Bantu, vicious fighter.

Iron Age
California-Sioux: Republican Legion- Highly agressive warriors armored in iron plate, and carrying an iron shield, iron broadsword, and two one-handed iron axes. They enter the battle in a tight formation (called a "shield wall"), force their way into the center of the enemy formation, and then break up and ravage the enemy from within with their axes. They have the ability to build their own fortifications in the countryside with any materials available.
Phoenicia: Numidian Mercenary- The Numidian race are a fierce nomadic people living west of Karthenon, who resisted bitterly assimilation first into the Sicilian Kingdom and then later into the Kingdom of Pheonicia.
These people never forgot their nomadic roots and it took the Kingdom many generations to subdue them, now thankfully the Numidians think of themselves as members of the Kingdom and fight for it with the same ferocity that they fought for their independence all those years ago.
Practical game effect, slightly higher offense and defense than generic bronze age troops. A dangerous and versatile troop to replace the Pheonician Bowman as the Kingdoms central troop unit
Yalta: Crimean Merchant Ship- A large merchant ship, garrisoned with Swordsmen and Archers, can also act as a troop transport in times of war.

I'll be Greenland! And the template... well, the template which azale already posted seems fine! :)

A story:

Umanak took off his furry hat and let the cold wind blow to his face. It was a historic moment for the big and cold island - thousands of whale hunters from all over the eastern shores of Greenland had came to the same place to discuss about how to make hunting more effecient in this cold environment. The place was called Soresbysund, and it was at the northernmost peak of human civilization.

"Why have you called us here, Umanak?" asked Magssalik, leader of the hunter trible living in south.

"Because Gods have spoken to me!" Umanak replied. "They have said that we need to unite our tribes, because somewhere out there there are mean people who don't speak our language and who eat dogs, and they will destroy us if we don't help each other instead of fighting each other! That's what the Gods told me! We all speak the same language and we all get our living by hunting whales, why not unite our forces, why not all move to this place, to Scoresbysund, and start hunting whales with great efficiency!"

"HOORAY", yelled the crowd.

And so, all tribes of Greenland stopped fighting against each other and instead they formed a great civilization in this cold land. And all things were decided by tribal councils, where leaders of all tribes gathered to hear what the Gods and Chairman Umanak had to say. And soon, their civilization flourished...

Ill do first update tomorrow, hopefully there will be lots of people.:D

Azale: This is gonna be fun ;).

Story:

The old man who they called the emperor, sagged close to the flore. His face, no longer recognizable, was full of experience in the world, of harships, or wisdom; of Japan. The large hut he called his "Palace" was being remodeled, he thought. Each stone was being replaced with another stone, much like his life had been. The nation of Japan, or, more like the City-State of Edo, prospered under his rule of trade and fairness. Now that he was lying on his death bed, he feared for his beloved country. He knew was appointed from God, and that the next Emperor would be so too, but he wondered about the dark lords, and their growing power within the legality of the empire. Closing his eyes, he could not think anymore. He felt himself drift away, into the afterworld, never again to rule such a magnificent empire, but be apart of one.

The New Emperor rose to the top of the well in the middle of Edo. "Me fellow Japanese, it is time. Our obedience and waiting for the death of our beloved Stian-Di, is finally going to pay off. Our economy strong, our soldier trained, we are going to march and spread the Japanese Empire to all of Japan!" Cheers from the small crowd enveloped all of the land as the new Emperor, Tokugowa, descended from the well, only to embrace the future as his regime would be the longest running regime in all of Japanese history.

GERMAN STORY AND STUFF

Ivan Von Muller had been coronated leader of the german people, he had followers from the berlin lands.
his rise to power came after a dream, he dreamed to be in the forest, always followed by a black eagle in the sky, he dremed this every day, the berlin oracle told him taht the meaning of it was future conquests and german glory, he then gathered his people and soldiers, took a 1 year old baby and placed him in the floor, where the baby was to move their armys were to conquer....the baby moved to the west, Ivan then took the baby, kissed it, and left w/ his warriors. To The west men! to the west! to glory!

California Story:

In the beginning, the Great Creator Spirit formed the Earth out of rock and water. At first he made a perfect world, where all land was fertile, rivers ran fast and strong everywhere, grapes grew wild in the grasslands, and cattle roamed free across the plains. In this world lived man, and man used the wonders of the Earth for his advantage. This angered the Great Creator, and in his rage he decried that man would never again inhabit Paradise. He struck the Earth with his axe, and it was scarred. The fertile grasslands turned sandy and dry, the wild fruits withered, the wild beasts disappeared, and terrible rocky scars rose up where the axe had struck. Man was left in a barren wasteland. One group of Men cried to the Great Creator, "Oh Great Spirit, why do you forsake us so? We meant you know harm!" The Spirit, in a moment of compassion, created a small region of land for these Men. This land was California. It stretched from the rocky peaks of the Sierra Nevada to the vast and endless sea. It contained fertile grasslands, rolling hills, endless fields of wildflowers, and all the game Man could need. This wonderland He becquithed to his chosen people. He said to the Californians, "Your neighbors have done wrong by Me, and as such must be punished! Take up arms against the Infidels, and cast them from the Earth like insects from fruit! Everywhere you step will be yours, and everywhere that is yours I will make fertile. Go and settle, until your land stretches from the Infinite Sea to the end of the Earth. Know that you can do no wrong whilst you serve Me."

And so was born the nation of California. At first the legendary heroes and chieftains led the people, building the settlements of Los Angeles, San Diego, Pasadena, and Long Beach. But their time passed, and the crown of the young Kingdom was given to Ramon Mendez, son of a great warrior-hero. He swore an oath to forever serve the Great Creator and to lead his people to greatness. "Onward!" he said. "Onward North, for there are rich lands there that must be ours! Bring forth your best warriors and explorers, and we will take this land from the Infidels!" The people cheered, and it was decided. California would begin a campaign of expansion.

Orders:
Expand in all directions, but concentrate on going North.
