Never tell me the odds
World of Wuxia

You live in times of uncertainty. It is 1750. The Qianlong Emperor has ordered his armed forces to burn down the Shaolin Temple. With the help of a traitorous monk called Bak Mei, the Manchus burned the temple and killed almost all of the Shaolin monks. Now it is your time to make the difference. Will you serve the Emperor and exterminate the Ming rebels or shall you battle for righteousness against the Imperial Court?
World of Wuxia is a choose your own adventure/quest game with a twist. Each player has his own character and story. You will contact both NPCs and other players and discover the huge world of Imperial China.
Joining:
To join you must fill this simple template:
Name: Only Chinese/Manchu names are accepted.
Class: Shaolin, Imperial Guard, Martial Artist (will be explained below on "Class" section).
Physical description: Just give me a physical description of your character, as long or short as you want. Pics can be accepted too instead of text.
Gender: Male of Female. Female characters can only be Imperial Guards or Martial Artists, not Shaolin (for obvious reasons).
Stats: You have 10 points to spend on stats (see "Stats" section below).
Class:
The class you choose decides only your alignment. Your alignment decides how factions and NPCs treat you. The alignments are Ming (popular with people, enemy of the Imperial Court), Qing (unpopular with the people, have the support of the Imperial Court), Neutral (you have neither the support nor the enmity of either the people or the Imperial Court).
Shaolin: You begin with Ming alignment.
Imperial Guard: You begin with Qing alignment.
Martial Artist: You begin with Neutral alignment.
Alignment can change due to choices you make and encounters with NPCs. For example, a Shaolin (if he makes certain choices) can defect to Qing and an Imperial Guard can defect to Ming or they can become Neutral.
Stats:
Stats, along with RNG (Random Number Generator), decide if your actions are successful or not.
Attack: The more points, the more chances to succeed in an attack you have.
Defense: The more points, the more chances to successfully defend against an attack you have.
Speed: The more points, the better chances to escape you have. It also helps in Attack and Defense.
Stealth: The more points, the more chances to successfully sneak into a building.
Intelligence: The more points, the more chances you have to solve puzzles (like opening boxes, understanding the meaning of a weird Martial Arts text, etch).
Charisma: The more points, the easier it is to deal with NPCs, recruit companions and gain their loyalty.
The stats can be increased with successes. If you are successful in sneaking in houses, to use an example, your Stealth stat shall increase. In reverse, if you fail repeatedly, it will decrease. The stats can also be increased if your find a Master or a Manual.
Companions:
As you wander China, some NPCs may choose to join you. They can either help you or bring you harm. You will have to gain their trust and help them and in return they shall help you. No one starts with companions. They will be gained in your journey.
Items:
As you wander China, you will find items, like swords, manuals, maps and other items which shall help you in your quests and some of them may increase your stats.
Quests:
As you wander China, you will meet NPCs who will give you quests. You can choose to ignore them if you want, but completing them will increase your stats, give you the trust of the NPC whose quest you complete and you may even find a Master or a Martial Arts Manual.
Updates:
Unlike traditional CYOA, I will update once every day (as there are more than one stories). If you do not make a decision a day, do not worry. Your character will be resting. There are no orders lock.
