You can download an intermediary patch for DoC 1.14, it will take care of all crashes/bugs that have been fixed until the fixed version of 1.14 has been reuploaded.

Unpack into the mod folder and integrate/overwrite.

I have updated the OP with a newer patch including the recent Git changes.

Works for me, can you try again, maybe with a different browser?
 
Used Firefox in stead of Internet Explorer.

(Why Internet Expolerer downloads a different extension of file than Firefox is beyond me though :confused:)
 
Why you had been using IE is beyond me ;)
 
So how am I supposed to apply this mod? From what I can tell it's only an assets file and when I overwrite 1.13 with it the mod doesn't want to run properly. Am I just missing something or doing iy blatantly wrong?

This is patch for version 1.14, so you need to download that, install and then apply this patch.
 
It's only fixes and no new features, so it's not really appropriate to call it a development version. It brings your installed version up to date with the development version, but it's not as if there's the risk of dealing with an experimental or untested feature. It's as stable as the 1.14 release, or more.
 
New patch is up.
