WNES4: Ocean World Revisited:

Story:
This is the Ocean World. The planet consits of numerous islands and small continents. Nations have arisen of these islands and have expanded for food, water and resources. The Planet has been split between 8 grand nations. Altough technology is hard to come by, many nations have advanced to the Mid-Industrial Age. Wars have already killed many as World War One has started. Ocean World's future is in your hands.

Rules:
You may enlarge army or navy by 1(cost 1 Economy).
You can enlarge your Economy once per turn(must be only growth order).
You can research new Technology(Two Economy)

Note: You may enlarge army and navy as much as you want in one turn but remember each enlargement still takes an economy level. You can also research all you want but it will still take 2 levels per new technology.

Note: Remember the planet is round so you can easily move from one edge to another

Economy: Collapsed, Depression, Recession, Weak, Stable, Growing, Strong, Prosperous, Very Prosperous, Juggernaught.

Happiness(determined by Economy, world standing, government, war etc) Rebelling, Riots, Angry, Upset, Content, Happy, Jubilant, Festive, Celebrating.

Technologies: You can research new technologies. All technologies must be researched to reach the next age.

Cannon Rifling: Better Navy Attack
Rifles: Better Army Attack
Railroads: Better Army Defense
Steam Engine: Better Navy Defense

Mid-Industrial Age(1850-1880)
Tip-Shot: Better Navy Attack
Mini-Ball/Bullet: Better Army Attack
Field Medicane: Better Army Defense

Government:
There are 4 differnt governments as you start. A new government will appear every age. You may change your government but Anarchy will take place one turn. All this means is you won’t be able to enlarge or research anything but can still give military commands etc.

If a nation changes government rebels might appear. Happiness improves the farther up the list you go. So changing from a monarchy to republic will improve happiness. But changing "dramaticly" will cause a "backfire". So going from a Dictatorship to Domarcracy will have effects such as rebels, economic decline, etc. Happiness might actually decline. So change governments WISELY!

-Militaristic Dictatorship:
Attacking Army better. Happiness declines.
-(Constitutional) Monarchy:
Attacking Navy better. Can’t have a Juggernaught or Very Prosperous Economy.
-Confederacy
Attacking Navy Better. Can't have an Imperial or Gigantic Army/Navy.
-Republic:
Defending Navy better. Can’t have an Imperial or Gigantic Army/Navy.
-Democracy:
Defending Army Better. Research costs 3 Economy

Recent Wars in Ocean World History:

-War of Democratic Dominance(Turn 2-Turn 4)
During Turn 2 Estland invaded Horst in an attempt to free the people from a King. The Estland army made rapid advances into the main Horst island. Soon new Rifles arrived and the Estland troops took more ground.
In Turn 3 the Horst navy struck a blow to Estland by raiding Estland supply lines and were able to get Rifles for themselves. Astoria in an attempt to help Estland blockaded the Horst island, but it backfired when a battle occured between the Astorian and Estland fleets, damaging both. Estland continued to advance on land. At the same time the nations of Frimca and Troke joined the war, Frimca to Estland and Troke to Horst. Frimca learning of this quickly sent their fleets to destroy the Troke navy. The ensuing battle was a sucess for Frimca as they laid waist to the Troke flotilla.
By Turn 4 the war was taking a toll on both nations. The two powers decided for peace. Meeting between the Democratic and Monarchy alliances took place and the Democratic Alliance agreed to give up the lands they gained in the war. The war was over, but Estland burned a port to the ground before leaving Horst. the War of Democratic Dominance had pushed the Estland and Frimca into a power while leaving the monarchies of Horst and Troke weak for many turns to come.

-The Midey War(Turn 3-Turn 5)
In turn 2 the nations of Astoria and Nudland allied. It was apparent why when in Turn 3 they invaded Midey. Nudland attacked Midey and quickly took the Northwest island. Astoria tried to land at the Northeast island but the transport fleet was totaled by the Midey Navy as it had no escorts.
During Turn 3 the Midey navy was still mostly unprepared and it was taken off guard when the Nudland fleet sunk a large portian as it still lay at port. Soon after Nudland landed thosands of troops onto the Midey Main Island and took half of it. Astoria once again tries to invade the Northeast island, this time successful thanks to escorts. Both the Midey and Astorian fleets took heavy losses. Astoria makes a small beachead but it fails to grow as supplies wear thin when Midey raids the supply lines.
After tough negotiations, peace was made in Turn 5. Midey handed over it's two nothern islands to Nudland and Astoria. This comes at a time when Astoria and Nudland make technological advances that could have tipped the war. Peace finally resumed over Ocean World, but for how long?

yay, three players already. Once I get orders for 5 nations I'll update. Also just to clarify this is a story NES so some stroies wouldn't hurt :p Plus every so often I my award those who write good strories

World Events:

Ocean World erupts with activity as 5 new leaders take control of 5 powerful nations. Luckily peace still remains.

Country Events:

In Astoria a new dictator takes power from the old and corrupt General Astor. Known in the high ranks as "Kamilian" this master general had begun an economic reform. The reforms has brought a Growing economy.

In Sudland a new Prime Minister was sworn in. Known by political analysts as "erez" this leader is focased on the defense of Sudland. The navel prower of Sudland, already one of the best in the world was increased to become the largest sailing navy in the world. The new Large navy will be able to protect Sudland from attackers. As a result the Economy has become Weak.

In Estland a new President was voted into office by a majority vote from the people. Estland long known for it's democratic history was happy to vote in President Emu. His first act was begin an economic reform. This reform has allowed the Estland economy to start Growing.

Prince Azale of Horst recently became King. Horst being one of the weak Navel powers have had a history of losing navel battles and failing in colonies. King Azale plans to prevent this further by enlarging the Navy. The new Medium sized navy will bring protection to Horst shores. Unfortunetly the economy has grown Weak becuase of the amount of resources put into the navy.

In Nudland General Nud was overthown by another General known as "Puglover". The General has become the dictator of all of Nudland. Nudland has long been a major power and General Pug hopes to continue this tradition. As a result he has begun an economic reform. This reform has brought about a Growing Economy.

um were talking about 1800-1835 is the period were in(Early Industrial Age). There won't be any oil untill the Late Industrial Age ;)

World Events:

WAR WERE DECLARED!!! Half of the Estland Army stormed onto the beaches of the Island of Horst. Already a port city has fallen to Estland and reinforcements and supplies arrive steadily. Estland's new rifles are also proving very bothersome to the Horst militia. Neither side has yet to make a major move against one another on land or in the sea.

Alliance! Nudland and Astoria have recently created an alliance, for what purpose we do not know. The alliance is the only one on the planet at this moment and can prove a threat to any nation.

Country Events:

Horst invaded! Meanwhile the economic reform has helped create a Stable Economy. The people have begun to worry in the cities and towns of Horst. As a result the people have become Upset.

Estland has taken much ground in South-West Horst. The army has also been equipped with the newly deveoped Rifles. These weapons have allowed Estland to defeat Horst muskets from almost 3 times as far away as the Muskets can accuretly shoot. Estland also has upgraded to a Large navy to help protect the supply route. As a result of all of this the Estland economy has plumeted into a Recession, the worst economy in the world at this point. The people worry about this but the recent military victories keep their spirites high and thoughts preoccupied.

Nudland continues a large economic reform. As a result the Economy has become Prosperous. Nudland now has the best Economy in the world.This has made the people Content.

Astoria meanwhile has begun a massive military build up. The army and navy have reached Large levels and Astoria haas the largest military in the world.

Sudland tried to pull itself from it's weak economic situation with regforms and has created a Stable economy. Sudland's effort to find coal is unsecessful.

NPC Events:

All nations begin to strengthen their economies to become Growing.

OOC: On the Histograph a technology counts as 3 points in my determining process. When 2 nations have it counts as 2 points When 5 nations have it it counts as 1 point. When all nations have it it counts as 0 points.

No random events this turn, other then the failure of the coal expedition. I'll add a random event section for next turn- 3 bad events, 2 good ones(one for each nation)
