Civilopedia And renovations

Hey umm well i'm working on making everything we possilbe need to make civ 3 complete as in civilopedia icons, text, etc.

so well here is my first of many parts

This is a fix up of aaglos wonderful units....includes civilopedia entries, icons, and suggested suggest to try and best fit it into historical role, and even includes aaglos fanstasy units

Well hmm if anyone has suggestions or even death threats or anything let me know......and if any1 would want to help me i'd be more than happy

BTW should i do this for all the units i can or not?

That would be kool if u would take the time to do it for all the units that u can and feel like doing it for.

Sure, do it for all the units you can!

You could try to do it for all those Cossacks and American Conquests units that Steph et. al. made. Somebody's just requested the _32.pcx files for them on Zulu's thread, and I'd sure like the civilopedia pics for them. Lotsa work though, and I'm in no position to try and help you

Well i find out how it was used in real life...then i either make up a new civilopedia or look around and get some good info of the unit and make a civilopedia based off the authentic pedia of another unit i've already done or a civ 3 one........

Then the icons i do various things either hand drawn, taken from the animation, taken from a preview render, or the unit person already made one

And lastly for some of them i plan of making them civ specific and i'll get to that later.....as well i'm making an accurate and totally revamped unit_32.pcx which if you want to help i can explain also but yea if you could just get civilopedia text for even 1 unit a day or even stats or both that would help so much the graphics don't take long but the stats and civilopedia do

hey aaglo glad you like my "renovation" btw your units rock man I mean youhave air units as good as ripptide or wyrm but anyways

I'm at the airport right now and i got an hr to kill b4 my flight so I'll be back tonight and maybe bytommorow i can have the next 2 or 3 guys done, but i got a lot of work and cross country comin up so we'll see if i ever even get close to getting all of the units, but cya guys soon

... Might I humbly suggest that our own URL research library might come in handy for this effort?

Okay heres the Admiral Krakens 5, 4 1/2 IMO.....

NOTE: when i get around to it, the sea units will be overhauled and the stats will be changed to allow flexibility and flucuation between the a/d values since as of now the caravel for example is the same as a galley except for one more defense......and to add a unit in between is hard to make w/ changing the stats......whew.....anywyas

you can get the Admirials additions....although i basically just made stats and civilopedia, everything else was pretty much covered

Again anyone that would like to help i could use it.....also this time it was mainly finding the correct name for the ships that took a while

I think I could make some icons... :eek:

In fact I have made a few icons for the Cossacks units for my own use. I could make more of them from the pics Steph has put there (if anybody needs them...).

But I have no idea about the pedia texts, so don't expect them.

ahh perfect......how bout a shadow? just use the one from like the rifleman or something and paste it into that image but anyways that would be good, but i didn't plan on doing all the cossacks and other conversion such as the aoe/aok by jimmyh and stuff but if you do the cossacks i may get around to the pedia text then

very nice.......well i've had 2 2 hr practices a day of cross country and work inbetween so i've had no time sorry guys.....well see when i get going again....i may just do units that i will use.....so like no sci fi units and no incomplete units
