My current user title
Welcome to NANES III.First of all you may wonder why I am going back in numbering, it is because I accidentally skipped number 3, I don't know why. Second of all, this is called starting anew, because frankly all of my NESes have been busts with the possible exception of stNANES2 or 3 and also because this starts at the beginning of civilization. This will be the NES I stick to and focus on and see it through until the end. This is a game, that is slightly like the start at 400BC story NES except its a boardgame NES. Without futher ado, I give you NANESIII.
INCOME AND ECONOMY
The income system is very simple. You earn money from provinces and cities. Provinces bring in 3c and a city increases that to 5c. You start out with one free city in your starting province and after that, you may buy cities for 20c. You may bank up to 30c, any more banked money will be lost. You may give other players money and it will be added to the recipients income to be spent the turn after.
UPKEEP
Also very simple, each city and each province can support 1 unit, after that it costs 1c per turn. If you cannot pay an upkeep during a certain turn it will stay immobile, only able to defend itself and if you cannot support it the next turn, then it disbands.
UNITS, MOVEMENT, AND THE MAP
-There are two units, armies and fleets. Armies cost 3c and fleets cost 5c.
-Each army may move one province per turn and each fleet may move one sea per turn.
-You may move a unit on the same turn it is built and possibly claim a province, but you may not attack on the turn it is built.
-You must build your unit in a city.
-You may not build units in newly captured provinces.
-You may move through friendly territory if the owner of the territory has given permission in his orders or on the thread.
-You may load an army onto a fleet. A fleet may carry four armies. An fleet can pick up an army and move, but not unload or it can move then unload, but not load.
-One army is a small black dot and rive armies is a large black dot.
-A fleet is a square of the nations color. If a nation has a blue color (which I will save for last), fleets will be black.
-If someone controls the ANK province or the MOR and SPA province, they may block acess through the waterways running through or in between the provinces. If two different countries control the MOR and SPA provinces, they may agree to block acess. Also, when the Industrial Age is reached, the owners of the CAI and PAN provinces may choose to build canals through their provinces. the same rules apply to blocking acess as waterways. Lastly, you may charge toll for using waterways.
-Cities are represented by black ringed circles with white in the middle.
-In the SEY, HAW, AZO, MAL, CAR, MAR, and FIJ province, the water surrounding the province does not count as a sea zone. This is also true with the south part of north island in NZE, north part of south island in NZE, east part of CUB, and west part of HAI.
SCIENCE AND ADVANCEMENT
There are different ages in this NES like many story NESes. It costs 35c to advance to the next age. You may continually add credits until you reach the next age rather than buying it all at once. Here are the ages and how far from your territory ships may travel:
Stone Age-Ships must be adjacent to your territory
Bronze Age- Ships must be adjacent to your territory
Iron Age -Ships must be adjacent to your territory
Classical Age -Ships must be adjacent to your territory
Dark Ages- There may be one sea zone between your ships and your territory
Middle Ages- There may be one sea zone between your ships and your territory
Renaissance- There may be two sea zones between your ships and your territory
Colonial Age- There may be three sea zones between your ships and your territory
Imperial Age- There may be four sea zones between your ships and your territory
Industrial Age- There may be five sea zones between your ships and your territory
Modern Age- There may be six sea zones between your ships and your territory
Information Age- There may be any amount of sea zones between your ships and your territory
-Air forces will be available in the Modern Age, whereupon I will add rules
-Having better ages will give you a technological advantage in battle over nations with less modern technology
FIGHTING
-I will be using Roddys system for fighting, if that is OK with him
-When 2 forces fight, every army in the fight rolls a 6 sided die.
-If the forces are about the same size then for both sides a 4 or more will kill one of the enemy and a 3 or less will miss.
-If either of the sides has twice the number of the enemy then the bigger side needs 3 or more to hit and the smaller side needs 5 or more to hit.
-If either side has three times the number of the enemy then the bigger side needs 2 or more to hit and the smaller side needs 6 (can't get more) to hit.
-If either side has four times the forces of the enemy then the bigger side wins automatically (hits on a 1 or more), but the smaller side gets 1 kill.
-All battles are to the end. Ill keep rolling dice until one side is completely destroyed.

NOTES/FAQ
-Updates will be every two or three days
-I used some of Jason's JNES: Reborn rules and Roddy's fighting system and some was done by me. Kudos to them.
-HAW and AZO are not supposed to have cities as of now, I will change that first update.
-Thanks to Roddy for letting me use his map from RNES2
Q-Is Chile a province?
A- Yes it is, and on Roddy's map it is labeled
Q-We make 5cturn from our province with a city, correct?
A- Yes, you do.
Q- Can you build wonders in this NES?
A- Not for the time being, as this isn't a story NES. I will consider this later when the game is running smoothly.
Q-What if two nations try to claim the same province?
A-Then a battle will occur and the winner will keep the province and the loser will retreat instead of losing their unit.
