Why the Zulu? I haven't played them since LK9. They are overdue for a second appearance.

I prefer players with previous deity experience.

===========================================

The following tactics are PROHIBITED:

RCP (Ring City Placement) - A new tactic that exploits a hole in the corruption calculation. 3 cities at the same distance from the FP / palace suffer the same amount of lower corruption. I feel this turns the game into a mathematic formula. Sorry, but I want cities built for resources, rivers, luxuries and to feel like a civilization that is expanding.

RoP Rape - if you have to ask...

RoP Abuse that includes things such as irrigating all tiles with a city building wonders, denying resources with a RoP, putting a unit to block a land bridge, etc.

Scout resource denial - parking a scout on a resource, as the AI won't ask scouts to leave. The same scenario also applies to workers.

False Peace Treaties (must wait for the 20 years to end).

Declaring War exploit: Using the declare war action to break trade deals including sending gpt / luxuries to another civ.

Demand leave territory exploit: Unless it is a clear sneak attack, you may not demand the AI leave your territory if it could stop you from sending gpt / luxuries to another civ.

False Alliances (ally with several people vs. a civ then peace with that civ), and other actions that completely abuse the AI limited diplomacy ability.

Spy exploit - If you fail to plant a spy, you CAN'T try again for that turn. The exploit is: you can infinitely plant a spy until the Civ declares war.

Demands exploit - You may make ONE demand a turn per civ. The exploit is: you can demand to the end of time, and guaranteed to get a civ furious and almost to war.

The negative science exploit - you can run a huge deficit (-250 / turn) of negative cash with a token penalty of one lost worker / cheap building. If cash will go below zero, the research level must be dropped.

NEW
Ship chaining exploit - you can move a ship, unload troops to another ship, move that ship, etc. This allows you to ship an indefinite distance, and that is why I consider it an exploit.

Resources disconnect / connect exploit - I consider most resource tactics fine. Delaying to hook a resource, trading it away etc is fine. The exploit is to do this every turn. Build a stack of horses, connect saltpeter, upgrade to cavalry, and disconnect.

WOW ... um, no, I don't have enough experience to play this, but :eek: I will watch with much interest :thumbsup:

I've been having some good results with first contact war events on solo diety/demigod trials. That tactic might work well here. But I'm in three games now so not an immediate sign up. Hot7 should end in 2-3 weeks, if this game is still open then please fit me in.

Hi LK, I never played in your famous series before and this sounds like the perfect opportunity (and setup). I am sort of regularly using almost half of the tricks you list as exploits but of course I will refrain from doing that in your games.

Tiny map was my first ever Deity victory way before I found out about CFC. I played Romans then but Zulus will also do with their Ancient Age UU.

:( I would love to join this but I'll be out for 2 weeks Starting Sunday. At the rate LK52 went, on a tiny map, you'll be done before I come back.:)

I think you should name the ship chaining rule "CF's Folly" since I commited the foul that brought it up.:lol:

Good luck.

Like Coffee, I've found that an early declaration of war works extremely well when playing tiny maps at Deity level (in fact my first Deity victory was on a tiny map as the Celts, and actually came about due to America sneak-attacking me just after I'd upgraded about 10 warriors to Gallics :lol: )

A lot of talk...

Are we going to get anymore signups?

@Lee

If you don't mind my lack of experience on Deity (I've won on it before, but haven't played it frequently), I'll sign up.

@ChrTh - welcome aboard. Squeeze you between two players with plenty of deity time.

Oh why not? I have been thinking about getting into a game since finishing the Defiant Nationalist game. A nice bite-size game like this will be just the ticket to get back into the swing of things.

Lee, if you would have me, I am interested in joining. I will need to be placed near the end of the roster as I am out through the holiday weekend.

On Zulu: Do we avoid building impi to prevent an early GA, or is the early GA a part of our strategy?

(goes to find LK9)

EDIT: Wow, that was a quick read! :lol:

1.27 patch.

Now if we can get that 5th player.

Will squeeze in the start over this holiday weekend.
