MILITARY
-Armies are increased by 1,000 troops for every level you increase it by.
-Mobilizing your army makes it fight better, but takes one turn.
-Training your army makes it fight better, but costs an economy level.
-Conscipting an army increases your army by 2 levels for free, but lowers your training level.
Navy
-Navies increase by 10 ships for every level you increase it by.
-Navies can be trained and mobilized in the same way as armies.
-Putting your navies in port protects them from sea attacks, but they can be destroyed when you lose territory.

ECONOMY
-Economy Sizes:
Depression
Recession
Failing
Stable
Growing
Prosperous
Outstanding
-Say how you want to improve your economy
-If you increase your economy, you can't improve anything else that turn.
-If you increase something by 2 levels or improve 2 things at once, you lose an economy level
Trade
-To trade with another nation, say so in your Orders. It costs one economy level.
-For every trade route you have that isn't blocked, you gain one economy level every three turns.

-Good living standards make people happy.

APPROVAL RATING
-Approval Rating is how much the people like you. It is determined by random events, stories, and how nice you are to your people. It's a lot like "Confidence in Leader" in other NESes.
-Approval Rating's effects depend on your government.
Ex: For a Republic, a bad approval rating can make Senates vote against you. In Monarchies, bad approval ratings cause rebellions.

TEMPLATE
-Join as an existing nation or create your own.

Stalin- My NES needs a playr for these nations----

GTA (scotland)
Phnom (vietnam)
Kongo
Chilevuia

I would be happy to have you join, just tell me which nation and ill give u a history

OOC: This is not a usual update. It is just to let everybody know that this NES has started and to give a feel of what a real update will be like.
The Romans will not be an easy civ. I will have random events against them all the time. So if you want to join as Rome, you will not be on top of the world.
You can post orders now.

REBELS IN JUDEA
A new religion called Christianity is formed in the Roman province of Judea. This lead to revolts against the Roman government by Christians and Jews. Currently, Roman troops are being called in to crush these rebels. Troops have also been seen on the Roman-Parthian border. However, Rome's greatest enemy, the Germans, are unusually quiet.

ARABIA RISES TO POWER
The prophet Muhammed, after coming to power in Arabia and riding the tide of the popularity of Islam, now has another wav of followers. The nation of Himyar, in South Arabia, decided to join the rising nation of Arabia. When asked if he was planning to challenge the Parthian Empire, or even Rome, Muhammed remained silent.

New Leaders come to Power
These past few years have seen some new leaders come to power. The most notable are King Emu of Parthia and Emperor Amirsan of China. King Emu of Parthia appears to be caught between two new religons, while Amirsan sees nothing but open territory everywhere but to the north.

ARABIA ARABIA

After prayer, Muhammed called the council of the caliphate, he discused the problems of the empire, the military had to be increased to much larger proportions, the answer was simple, conscription, he knew that such would make the people more unhappy, so he also declared a large sum of the national income towards increasing the national standard of living.
The following day, he examined his grand mosque, the job was going well, as many loyal muslims would donate some of their time helping around in the ardeous task. Muhammed would had helped, but he had more important matters of diplomacy to attend to...

ORDERS:
Increase army
Increase living Standard
Call for conscription
Expand north along the red sea
send a religious expedition to axum using the navy, try to convert people to islam.

From Arabia:
to the Parthian Empire.

We wish for peace, we are weak, possing no military threat towards you, and since we live in the desert, we have nothing of value for you to take as spoils of war.
we wish to sign a peace non-aggresion pact, perhaps in the future we can start trading together.
OOC: i dont think i can join any other neses for now

from arabia

secret
To the Roman Empire:
we wish for a full military allience

secret:
to the jewish/christian rebels.
we would send help, but we are unable to do so now

To Arabia:
From Rome:
[SECRET]We will sign an alliance with you.[/SECRET]

Arabian Crusade
By Abdullah Bakr, Mecca Jihad
Arabia, the rising power of the modern world, has grown even more. King Muhammed has recently ordered a conscription to increase our great country's power. More nonbelievers to the North have fallen to the wrath of Islam. But the best news of all is that Axum has turned into an Islamic country. Many say we have the weakest economy in the world. They are wrong. Our economy is excellent. However, we are still waiting for Parthia to sign a non-agression pact with us.

New Technology in Arabia
By Ali Hussien, Himyar Journal
Arabia has advanced to what scholars are calling, "The Dark Age". This is not a bad thing. The Dark Age represents a new height in Arabian technology, making Arabia one of the most technogically advanced nations in the world.

Wave of Chinese Expansion
By Shi Zhi Hong, Shanghai Tribune
Our great nation of China has become a power to rival even Rome. This latest wave of expansion, added to the conscruction of our amazing lighthouse, will make China a force to be reckoned with. We have already begun to create roads to the Suren Kingdom, so that we can trade with other nations.

Judea Made Autonomous
By Marcus Carius, Roma Times
The rebellious province of Judea was recently granted autonomy by the Roman emperor. The religion Christianity, however, is spreading to other provinces so quickly, we fear it cannot be stopped.

NPC Diplo:
From Rome:
To Arabia and China:
Would you like to establish trade routes?

Nope!

ARABIA

Advance north! Muhammed told not his generals, but his priests, Islam was expanding fast, expanding arabia faster than any military campaign. however, the economy was beggining to stay behind, he ordered the building of markets in the major towns of the empire.
The great wonder was almost complete, this would mark the beggining of a new era! for Isam was about to take the world by storm!.
The Phartian and roman empires seemed friendly enough, they offered to start trade, however, it was somewhat expensive at the moment to start a route.

ORDERS:
INCREASE ECONOMY
EXPAND NORTH
WONDER :)
