A style of cities completely from my imagination. Once again I used Arnes ziggurat model (hope doesn't mind) in some of them. I just love it so much.

Anywho, enjoy.

I am currently working on a Mesopotamian city style that will be a deffinitive one that can be used as a new culture group in Conquests if we have that ability. i.e. when completed it can best be used for Sumeria, Hitties and Babylonians do differentiate them from the Islamic city sets that better fit Ottomons and Arabs.

Excellent! -- For other inspiration, may I recommend you check out this thread. Starting on page 2 / post 27, I went to town and started posting imaginary city pix :king:

Best,

Oz

Thats a cool idea Ekmek... I've used villages as resources before (the goody hut gold thing in the General Tab so they appear when you get gold from a goody hut) But never thought of using cities as units...
Good work on those cities Emperor Xerxes :)

great job Xerxes. If you dont mind I plan on making static units for some these to have minor civ cities on the map of varying city styles. I'll give him high defense, high HP and put a barb camp underneath.

No problems.

My Mesopotamian cities are almost complete...

Heh, they don't look so clean when you zoom in to edit each and every pixel I can tell you!:)

Kinboat,
I'm working on a few and make them static though (maybe I'll throw in a flag, but mostly they'll be barbarian or lesser cities)

Xerxes
You got great cities are you willing to try and make a venice one? even if its just single frame (i could make it a unit)

Or the red-brick federal style for the US

or colonial mexico, spanish villa style? just some wishful thinking...

I may consider doing a Venice one if I get the time. The canals would be interesting to make. I am probably going to sit tight for Conquests at the moment though.

I think they're perfect for greatest of all civilizations, mighty
CARTHAGE!!! :D

EH!? Carthage was wiped out pretty quickly. I would say that Rome, China or Egypt would come before Carthage.

I know they (Carthage) aren't concidered the greatest empire,
but I for one am utterly fascinated by them,... must be something
to do with a past life or something. :crazyeye:

Okay, I'll bite the bait -- precisely what does a Carthaginian city look like anyway?

I'm kinda positive that only a handful (at most) accounts exist on
what Carthage (the city) looked like... since it was razed by the
Romans, few remains of remains remain :). I believe a new city
was erected where the city of Carthage once stood, making
excavation more difficult.
