Nation Bashing

This just will not do. All those involved should just drop this as its petty, every nation in the world has done bad things and good things. Some get noticed for their greatness and then envied and hated some get noted for evils they comit. And some get noticed by being there. Australia and America are former outposts of the British Empire, teh US rebeled Australia remains tied to Britain by the monarchy. How can you squable when both nations have performed similar actions both are important on a Global scale and both are alike in many ways. Now if you have some personal reason for disliking a country dont take it out in these forums. The majority of people here dont want to hear this and you have involved others in your slander so please just stop it now.

lol, I think Sheep started it and then Jason did it to get back at him. I dont think Jason did it against anyones or tried to do it against anyone except Sheep...

I know but its not the fact that he did it in retalliation, if he was that bothered why not go to a mod? I just feel bringing people in such as constantine is just not right. Its not like Const did anything wrong yet his nation still gets slandered as if he had.

Wow, notice how everyone who is saying no to nation bashing is neither from the USA nor Australia. There are people who commented but are not saying no. I think when a nation is insulted like that, it hurts people's national pride and makes them want to do something in retaliation to hurt the insulter's national pride, rather than just take it or go to the mods.

Just both of you, Jason and Sheep have made thier points so get a new sginature and move on. Dont act like Children.

I do recall that you can have whaever you want on your sig even if it is nation bashing... but yeah, it should be taken out. But I donr think tang it to a mod will do nothing.

What does it matter to you what I put in my sig? If you don't like it, DONT READ IT. Me stop acting like a child? How about you stop reading the sig if you don't like it.

I already told you, Constantine, it was not directed at Canada or anyother country but Australia because of what Sheep says in his.

I know Jason, I understand but both of you just stop or cut it down to just "Say no to America as a Civ" you dont need to bash them just state your oppstion to it clearly. Aaminion has "Say no to Polyesia as a Civ" does he bash them? No just states his point of view. You have made your point now move on!

The approach "If you dislike it, avoid it" very often results in a logical fallacy.
You have over 5k posts and post multiple times daily in NESes. This makes it hard for anybody in this forum to avoid your sig, especially when it contains info that some people might want to look up.
Others there are that, having seen it once, actually have memory skills meaning that they might think of it every time they see a post by you. Asking everybody else to avoid you is denial of the problem.
If a (hypothetical) family member has bad personal hygiene, what happens? Does he get away with saying "If you think I stink, stay away"? In my family atleast, anyone who tried that would be under strict orders to wash themselves.

Oh right. Exploiting a benevolent authority, eh? And if the mods take yours, will you insist that they take Sheep's sig as well? And then someone unnamed will complain that the mods are tyrannical, and it'll be a flamewar with bans as a result.

The moderators are generally nice. They don't do much moderating, because the people here are supposed to not require moderation except to remove accidental threads.

Saying the above seems very much like exploiting them to me.

I am not exploiting them, I am saying that if it is against forum rules and they want me to take it out, I will no questions asked.

What i meant by don't read was to just ignore it.

You know what's funny? Me and sheep have no problems with each other, we talk, we debate friendly-like, no arguments at all. It's fun. But when we take it to the signatures, someone gets offended. If you are offended, then respond back. Join in. It really is fun .

Yeah, I have the same feeling. That the sigs, the debate, and this thread are utterly ludicrous.

Apparently that's a human ability- to take a step back and laugh at one's own pettiness. Anything I say here is mainly to practice my debate skills.

I'm ignoring your sig, and quietly supporting Sheep's, but only because IMO Bush is a moron. America is a great idea, a mediocre nation, and a fairly bad place at the moment.

Hmm... if America is mediocre, then where does the rest of the world lie, less than mediocre?

that depends in what way you are looking at the other nations. America has the best economy(production wise) and the best equiped army in the world however falls short of other nations in other catagories
