Welcome to CivGeneral's Training Day Game. Since I have noticed very few TDGs being played. I have decided to host a Warlord Training Day game.

Here you will learn how to defend yourself agaist other civs and other things that will come our way. Since I beleve in the old saying, "The journey is more important than the destenation".

Here is the stats of the Game we are playing

World: Small
Barbarian: Roming
Temperature: Normal
Climate: Wet
Age: 4 Billion Years
Land: Contenents 60% Water

Edit: I have version 1.15 of conquests.

I can win at chieftain, i try to win by spaceship although i have done conquest before, i do usually end up getting the empire wide cultural victory though just as im putting the finishing touches to my spaceship.

I am currently involved in DGIT - 1, the sucession game, does that make a difference?
 
I would like to play.

I usually play at chieftan/reagent level, but have never tried a
SG before, and I definitly want to give it a shot.
 
I would like to try but I know how to download a savegame but how do I post it? I usally play on cheiftan. I have never played an SG before.

Edit: Nevermind I found out how.

I have no opinion on the civ...i think a training day is for us to
learn and adjust, so i am all for a random pick, and see what we
can do.
 
Yeah a random civ would be intreasting. We still need one more person though to get started.
 
random sounds good for me, i want to expand my horizons.

I think the ottomans would be a great civ to use, fast workers, excellent UU, and cheap culture/science is a great combination.

@To all of my students: Make sure to download the 1.15 patch for Civ3: Conquest if you have not done so :).
 
I know where to download the pacth but how? There's this Mirror 1 Mirror 2 thing and there aren't any instructions where to put it. Can someone explain this to me?
 
[Lurker]Click on one, if it doesn't work, download from the other. Once you have it downloaded unzip it to the desktop. Then run the EXE, and it should patch your game (it did for me) :)[/Lurker]
 
Hmm. Try this link off the firaxis website, silver.

If that doesn't work, you can get to that download
from the front civ3 site, www.civ3.com

I just tested the download and had no problem.
I believe you also need to be patched to 1.12 to
have 1.15 work correctly, but may be wrong.

edit: How regionalist of me. i assumed you are using
the english version. :eek:
