Stghnor1NES

Rules:
The Rules are pretty simple, but somewhat new

Population: Population in this NES, as it has been in history, is probably the most important factor in a nation’s power. The more populated land wins. Population will be determined by stories, richness from trade, conquest, land area, etc. It will have many benefits.

Economy:
The economy has a base number that is determined by your population. This is 10 production points for a small population. We will expand the base population list as people get larger populations. But you can also expand your economy by increasing efficiency. It will cost 10 production points to increase efficiency by 2 points. So if you start out and increase it by 2 you will end up with 12 the next turn.

Trade:
Trade will work that however many points you put into trade with a country you will get 1/3 of that back every 3 turns. So if you “invest” 9 you will get 3 every 3 turns. But you can only invest up to 30 so you can get at most 10 pp every 3 turns from a country. You can only have 3 trading partners.

Morale:
Morale will be incredibly important in this game. A happy populace will be normal, and a psychotically dedicated populace will give you huge bonuses. Levels are:

Rebellious
Terminally pissed off
Angry
Having a bad day
Content
Pleased
Psychotically dedicated
You are god

Pay attention to your level. It will change.

Events:
We will throw in historical and loosely historical events to amuse ourselves. Not you….us. We are not the type of Mods to kid you, we want to have fun too. Please do not be alarmed if your peasants are all killed by rabid cows, if it is blatantly a joke you’ll be fine.

Technology:
We start in the copper age, and technology research will be initiated by spending production points on research. How ever important it is to you is the amount you should spend. Special technological advances can be initiated by the Players. We want this to be more interactive, talk to us.

Religion and Government: Will as in history help determine alliances and enemies. Keep historically accurate.

Cities: We will place them to show population of a land.

Ages:
There are some basic ages, that we may add more to if needed.
Copper
Bronze
Iron (will have sublevels)
Gunpowder
Industrial
Information
More as needed

Wonders:
You can have 3 wonders an age, we may allow more if you write exceptional stories

.....

Armies and Navies- Nations may only have up to 9 armies and 9 navies, if a nation is large enough, we may allow them to have more. For now there will be no training of troops, but if your armies do an exceptional job on the battlefield, we may give armies special bonuses.

Units- Nations will be able to develop historical units as the game progresses. For now you may build these basic units
-|Infantry|-
Spearman (2 pp for 100 units)
-|Cavalry|-
Will need to research
-|Naval Units|-
Will need to research

As the game progresses there will be more units, and more categories.

Conquering- If you conquering your opponent’s cities could deliver a crippling blow. By conquering an enemy city you lower their efficacy or the amount of pp they receive a turn. You will not get a bonus from the conquered city until the end of the war. If you lose a city to one of your enemies, you may recapture it and it will regain its production.

PRUSSIA

Berlin had boomed after many years of prosperity, the city state was the center of commerce of the imediate surrounding lands, and it was time to expand, tradition called for giving the question to the Thor oracle and ask where would it be best to expand, we were answered taht moving north east would give us the best results, and so settlers and 500 spearman left the city, passing through the brandenburg gate made out of wood and stone.

Finish Settlement Berlin
Expand north.
Build 500 spearman (army 2, scorting settlers.
Start Wonder: Brandenburgs Red Market (large economic boost) (1/4?)

Expand North along the Coast
Begin Construction of Stonehendge (populace happiness)
Increase PP by 2 (put all industry into infrastructure)

And heres my story:

Two Celtic Warriors walk into a bar...

The Second one should have ducked.

Tetsuya was royally pissed off. It was the fifth barbarian raid this month and it was getting on his nerves. It was the daily meeting of the council and Tetsuya was quite restless.

"Damn barbarians... we need to destroy them all!"

"We should spear their hands to trees and leave them there to rot!"

"You'd insult the trees if you did that!"

"Good point, what are we to do?"

The council was achatter with all sorts of ideas and thoughts. Some were obscenely stupid while others were ingenius.

Tetsuya cleared his throat and the council grew dead silent. Well they werent DEAD but they were silent.

"Our problem is we must engage the ****ers in melee. If we could destroy them from afar we would be much better off. Also we must invade their homelands or they will forever pester us. It is not the barbarians that are doing this, it's their pisshead leaders telling them to do it."

The council was buzzing with murmurs whispers and general conversation. Would this plan work? Would their leader, Tetsuya follow through for them?

Orders :
Send 300 spearmen to invade north, if any barbarians wish to surrender, let them do so.
Spend 8 PP on research of archers. (can I do this?)
Increase army +100 spearmen (2 PP)

Nation name:Byzantine Empire
Ruler name:Julian the Wise
Age: copper
Army: 500 spearmen
Navy: 0
Government: Tribal
Religion: Pagan
Economy: 10 pp

Orders:
Invest 10 pp into effieceny
Expand East into Turkey with 250 men
Expand West into Thrace with 250 men

Guys since we are using armies, it would be nice if in your orders you say, move what ever army you want to move what ever direction to want to move it in. For now it is ok, we will make the armies for you, for example if you said
Expand East into Turkey with 250 men
We will make an army of 250 men and expand it east.
Just remember next round to make your armies and move them.

We haven't started updating yet, but I am almost done with the map with the orders i have so far.
