Difficulty = Demigod
This will be the first attempt ever for domination with double settlers for the AI to start.
The standard world map, Roaming Barbs.
Civilization = Open for debate

Remember 10 turns per round (5 upon entering industrial age) - STRICT 24 hours got it, reasonable time to complete. On the longer turns at least an update every 48 hours.

It will start as soon as the conversion to conquest is verified. Check the below thread for details. I made some testing progress over the weekend to close Australia out. ;)

Previous deity military win and previous huge map experience are mandatory. If you aren't use to the time drag of huge map...

The following tactics are PROHIBITED:

RoP Rape - if you have to ask...

RoP Abuse that includes things such as irrigating all tiles with a city building wonders, denying resources with a RoP, putting a unit to block a land bridge, etc.

Scout resource denial - parking a scout on a resource, as the AI won't ask scouts to leave. The same scenario also applies to workers.

False Peace Treaties (must wait for the 20 years to end).

The negative science exploit - you can run a huge deficit (-250 / turn) of negative cash with a token penalty of one lost worker / cheap building. If cash will go below zero, the research level must be dropped.

Ship chaining exploit - you can move a ship, unload troops to another ship, move that ship, etc. This allows you to ship an indefinite distance, and that is why I consider it an exploit.

Resources disconnect / connect exploit - I consider most resource tactics fine. Delaying to hook a resource, trading it away etc is fine. The exploit is to do this every turn. Build a stack of horses, connect saltpeter, upgrade to cavalry, and disconnect.

Palace Jump - You abandon the capital city to move the palace to a new location. If you want to move the palace, build a new palace.

Standard LK house rules:
1) Worker automation of any kind is prohibited.
2) No worker purchases the first 50 turns to avoid Civ crippling.
3) Declaring war / demanding leave solely for the purpose of getting out of trade deals.
4) Even if not covered under exploits listed, please try not to use tactics that take advantage of holes in the game design.
5) Our trading reputation is golden - please respect it.
6) Complete your turn. It is frustrating to get a 1/2 completed turn.

@meldor - I will take your post as a sign up.

The Civs played before are:
Germany, China, Australia, Brazil, Songhai, and America.

Do we want to start in Europe?
Do you want to play with one city? The double rate expansion of demigod would make Europe exteremly sadistic - sid might be easier on other parts of the world. :crazyeye:

I would like to do another world map, but there is no way I want to do two Huge SGs at once. (I'm in AG3 right now). When do you think this one will start up?

Do sign me up against my betetr judgement.

If you think we might be ready to go on offensive during knight era, then Chinese might be just the recipe.

Russia might also be good, as they seem to have some land to explore to.

America might be powerful if we play as Iros for a fast expansion.

I am trying to start within a week, but it depends when people have the time to finish testing the map. AG3 is killing me for players as it has several potential players tied up.

All those playing in AG3 should remember that the first 3-4 rounds on this one will be fairly easy. It isn't until we hit middle ages that things have expanded enough to start taking long turns.

You are right Meldor. The first 3-4 rounds should play like almost any other succession game. Sign me up please. I have no preference on which Civ/location, although I would like to start in Europe or Asia.

This is also why I cut the IA to five turns, as this is when the game is a killer...

Sorry, but I refused to start in Europe with attempting demigod and the AI having 2 starting settlers. I will not put Germany, Greece and France on the list of available Civs. China has a previous world map ages ago, so I will pass on them. If we win with this one at demigod I may show a masochistic mode and try Europe. New difficulty level and hardest starting spot is more then I am willing to do for one game.

Russia is technically Europe, but if we make Scandinavia first we may get a decent number of cities. India has a lot of jungle, but long term wouldn't be bad.

I suspect a middle east start (Babylon, Persia, etc) would also very painful.

Mongols and India both get GA with Chivalry.

As it was the movement I was after when suggesting China, Mongols could be good as well, since their knights will move faster when being the attacker.

Of course, if resources is a problem, then Jumbos across the alps might be fine as well. I also believe India will be quite a bit closer to the coast, which might make for better contacts.

This being C3C contacts will be much slower in spreading, and it could be important.

Of course if contacts weight a lot, Mongol scouts are faster still....

The last type India was played goes back to LK15!

India will be the Civ. Now we simply need player #5, and to finish testing.

This game is smaller then AG3, but by the end you will need close to an hour and the interturn will hit 1/2+ hours.

There are a total of 19 civs.

If I remember correctly it is around 250 x 200. I can't confirm that from work.

@microbe, what is the highest level you have beaten? I know I have 4 heavyweights for the game.

demigod. And I have a bunch of demigod SGs going currently (like the AG3, and all my SGs are shown in my sig). If you would like to accept a less-experienced player I'd be very glad to join. I've been reading many of your SGs.

@microbe - welcome aboard. I have you sandwiched between to world map heavyweights.

I am surprised how often I catch a comment like that. I guess crazy demigod / deity variants must be popular.

The game is full [dance]
Now all I need to do is get the testing finished...

Yes, based on what I heard it may be awhile before 1.20 comes into play. Whoever "fixed" this version to make it not load earlier games pretty much made it a useless patch IMHO.
