Hi,

As the title mentioned, where is the right place to place the new FP?

I`m still using 1.15 patch (have a game going...). I`m in monarchy and in golden age. But it seems FP plays a small role in reducing corruption. Btw, this is a deity game, continent, large map, 9 civs. I have 33 cities. Even cities near (next) to the FP (about 5 tiles) FP, are about 80% corrupt! Palace is about 20 tiles away from them. The FP is about 15 tiles from palace.

What the h....!!! It maybe because I`m in monarchy or the placement of the FP is wrong. Once I tried to jump the palace but it makes the corruption worse because cities used to be my core are now corrupt. I just reload!

Since the new FP rules, I have yet to find any right or best place to built FP. Any idea or suggestion to get a decent result? Usually after the discovery of rail and factory, corruption is not really a problem for me but before that (with courthouse and PS of course!). So, what do you do on this matter? I hope to get your feedback. Thanks in advance.

The cities close to your Forbidden palace will have a significant decrease in their distance corruption. Even though rank corruption is alleviated in all your towns by the FP, the cities close to the FP being far away from your palace have high rank and therefore still high rank corruption. Check the C3C corruption article in the War Academy.

I believe the conventional 1.15 FP wisdom is to build it as fast as you are allowed to in the direction you wish to expand.

The solution is simple:

Build your FP in a city that is between 50-60% corrupt with a courthouse. Everywhere else corruption would be too high for the surrounding cities to have a real positive effect on them.

Thanks... I`ll try it in the next game...
