okay, I got the bloddy thing fixed, now all I need is some good color pictures so that I can make a good texture for it.

I'm not sure this is exactly what you are looking for, but I'm sure it is a start
As you can see, the majority of the superstructure is light grey, while the barrels on the turrets (and some other details that probably wouldn't be visable at civ-scale) are bronze/gold.

okay im seeing 2 different versions. The sticking point is that my model's super structure is covered in AAA turrets, while some of the pictures show 2 large turrets, possibly 6-8 inch amidships.

Most of the pics I found with the amidships turrets are the Musashi- although the birds- perspective plan also shows these on the Yamato. Apparently the Yamato underwent a massive refit in early 1944, meaning your model is the final version:

Drydocked. Two beam triple 6.1 inch (155-mm.) turrets are removed and replaced by six twin 5-inch (127-mm.) HA AA mounts. Twenty-four triple-mount and 26 single 25mm. AA mounts are added. Shelters are also added on the upper deck for the increased AA crews. Type 13 air search and Type 22, Mod 4, surface search/gunnery control radars are installed and the main mast is altered. Two 150-mm searchlights are removed and later installed ashore at Kure.

War is a good thing.
It's kinduv fuzzy or something. I can't see the barrels on the turrets cause they're like pixeled together.
