I have a sceanrio, The Three Kingdoms That now is being planned to being upgraded to a new level. This scenario has been possibly the most succesful non-european based scenario at CFC, and It is one of my personal favorite topics in history. I have decided to complete a new version of this scenario with enormous amounts of extras and hidden features. The Scenario I plan to use for this mass upgrade is my most sucessful of the scenarios in that thread, The Rise of Wei. To do this however, I will need the following:

Tech Graphic Creators
Leaderhead Creators
Unit Graphics Creators

The main shortcoming with my Three Kingdoms scenario was that it was simply lacking in Unit graphics. I have decided to use some of the graphics in the Extras folder for the Feudal Japan pack. This is not enough however, and I will need many more general graphics of any Chinese infantry units, specifically Swordsmen and Pikemen. I have no lack of ships, so I do not ask for any boat graphics. I am Also good when it comes to cavalry. I do not want any links to graphics that have been made at CFC unless made for this scenarios request. I have already used every unit I can that is at CFC. The main request is the creation of specific units based off officers in the three kingdoms. For the Ultimate Flavor, I will need the following officers as their own custom created graphic:

Liu Bei
Cao Cao
Sun Quan
Zhao Yun
Guan Yu
Zhang Fei
Zhuge Liang
Zhang Liao
Dian Wei
Xu Chu
Xu Huang
Sima Yi
Zhou Yu
Zhou Tai
Huang Gai
Gan Ning
Lu Xun
Lu Bu
Yuan Shao
Yuan Shu

This would provide the ultimate flavor for a three kingdoms scenario, and so make it of absolute top quality.

At this website is a large photo of each of those requested characters from a game based on the Three Kingdoms, Dynasty Warriors 4 for the PS2. They are excellent pictures of all the officers listed above and may give a hint of what each of these warriors should look like. The ultimate deal would be if each of these photographed officers had their own unit, but I know this is wishful thinking so I have just these ones as "must-haves"

Tech graphics are not too much of a concern, All I need is someone to post links here for tech graphics that I could use for this scenario.

The pictures at the site I gave above may also provide a hint for several of the leaderheads, notably the following:

Cao Cao
Liu Bei
Sun Quan
Yuan Shao
Lu Bu

I have the first 3 as flag leaderheads for the regular scenario, but a comprehensive picture would be very cool to have. I also have a download avalible on this page:

http://www.kongming.net/avatars/#rtk7

Ths is a massive Avatar download page. The Download "Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII Avatars" has photos of all of the leaders in this scenario. If someone wants to make leaderheads of the "minor" leaders, that would be a nice thing to have as an extra. Also on this same avatar page are the downloads that include the avatars that I use on this forum in the "Dynasty Warriors 4 Avatars" section.

These may prove useful to those who want to create graphics or aid in this department for scenario development.

THE SCENARIO:

Ahh yes, the main package itself. I intend to heavily expand the scenario and add enormous amounts of flavor units to add more for a Three Kingdoms scenario. I already have the following new features planned:

- Large hoards of Barbarians at may attack your rear
- Siege Towers, Pirates, Fortress Infantry, and many more units.
- New Enemies, and also much stronger enemies to fight.
- Much more elaborate improvements and extras
- Highly polished Civilopedia
- Carefully ballanced stats for abolutely accurate fighting
- Every weapon and invention of the Three Kingdoms at your disposal
- and MUCH More

I am looking for suggestions on thigs to add and change to make the current scenario have additions to include these vast improvements to the scenario. I am specifically looking for AI testing of the current scenario That can be found here:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1679271#post1679271

For those concerned, this scenario has an EXTREMELY short load time, and so anyone should be able to test it without large waits either in the initial load or between turns.

I hope that this scenario can become one of thre greatest scenarios at CFC, and to be a great representation of the great era in history known as the Three Kingdoms.

Ill have both of you. What I would like is for you to try to play a game as every one of the playable nations in TROW on the same difficulty level. I know you may have done this already, but you may be able to take notes on the strenghts and weaknesses of the nation being tested. As you may know from reading Three Kingdoms, each nation had its own problems and advantages. I want to make sure they are highly prevalent by looking at the notes given.

Thank you,
- Sarevok

Would you rather I posted my questions/comments/notes in this thread or the other?

well, i started playing on Lu Bu's side:
-Lu Bu should be made stronger in comparison to Zhang Fei and Guan Yu (he is the best fighter)
-Lu Bu shouldn't start with that many good technologies because if you trade with AI, you can get nearly all the technologies really quickly (also Lu Bu wasn't that smart in the book)
-Maybe make Chen Gong an advisor and make a separate army for Lu Bu
-Lu Bu was killed while attacking an unfortifed veteran medium pikeman on a mountain?????????
-some units should have the enslave ability so certain nations can build up their army from 'capturing' other nation armies or troops
-maybe indivdual hero units should have their own stats as know two heroes are exactly the same at combat
-mass exodus of Wei troops from Qingzhou and Chengyang into the Xuchang area. possibly leaving Qingzhou and Chengyang undefended?
-combined enemy force (through alliances) enslaught leaves you dead

CONCLUSIONS:
playing Lu Bu is stupidly hard and more of a survival task which should be so as was in the book. consider upping Lu Bu's strength.

well, i started playing on Wei's side:
-sack cities not capture as they are a liability to defend
-money and technology are the sky as the can buy friends and turn the tide of a war
-Wei's heroes can tear apart an army or five as the AI only build offensive armies
-Wei can still be hard if you don't manage your diplomacy well
-diplomacy plays a MAJOR part of every nation's survival
-Dian Wei and Xu Zhu should be stronger than ordinary heroes as they are part of the tiger guard

CONCLUSION:
Wei is generally pretty easy if you manage your diplomacy well, but if you stuff up, then all hell breaks loose with everybody's troops at your doorstep. Cao Cao's cunning should be included as one of Wei's advantages.

oh yeah, Sarevok, are you doing an expansion for the three kingdoms scenario AND the rise of wei scenario?

1. He was planned to be
2. It is not realy a question on how smart Lu Bu was, but on the skill of his forces. Still, he will have virtualy no special benefits or access to silled weapons others get. There will be certain units certain factions do not get.
3. Chen Gong Has his own army
4. s*** happens, this is the game where tanks lose to spearmen.
5. This will be prevalent as well. Armies will havethat ability added.
6. Also Already planned
7. Their strength in that region will be transfered to the West against Li Jue
8. With Lu Bu, yes

My plan for Lu Bu is to make his forces generally where they are in skill and to add nothing to really bolster him. Lu Bu himself however will be a "god" along with Zhang Liao, making his force stand afighting chance. It is known that the "Lu Bu force" would have been swept up completely if Lu Bu was not the god warrior that he was. In that, Ill give Lu Bu's force a few more units, but the real strength will be Lu Bu himself with Zhang Liao.

1. I wish they added a "no-raze" option...
2. There is little to be done about that, Wei posseses significant power which is represented in Technology.
3. Armies are planned to be much more dangerous, especially the Strategic Wizard.
4&5. As always, too many enemies makes the situation highly difficult.
6. Dian Wei especially will have skills comparable to Lu Bu.

My Plan for Cao Cao's Wei is to make him a power, but not powerful enough to take on formidable enemies. Ill make sure he cannot fight Yuan Shao and another power at once. Wei will be forced to carefully deal with its enemies rather than rush in. This is difficult without giving mass units to Yuan Shao. Ill just give him the potential and possibly some wonder creating units. Concerning Cao Cao himself, His skills are shown in his own personal unit which will be added.

TTKX would be done afterwards, but not with the TROWX package. That would require a few more things added to it.

Thanks for your reports on the Lu Bu and Cao Cao forces. It has helped in determining how I will be constructing their AI. Ill eventually make a test that Ill post here to shown the featured changes.

Hmm... It looks like that sooner or later I will be needing to PM modders to help me with this project. It looks like that not many are interested in posting anything on this topic. I will have to resort so sending mass-pm's to recruit people to help out.

Done, I have now sent out 24 PM's to both excellent testers and scenario makers, as well as excellent graphics creators. Hopefully activity here will increase significantly.

Eh.. I know very little about Chinese history.. and all I know is about 1930 and up.. with some Shi Huangdi knowledge somewhere in there too.

I'll start researching some of the history which is the background for this scenario to get a better glimpse of the scenario. I'll gladly beta test and I'll give you as many constructive suggestions as possible. :)

My knowledge about old Chinese history is rather limited, as well. However, I will do what I can. As you are planning to improve the civilopedia, as well, I hope to get a profound knowledge in this area. ;)

The civilopedia is what Ill be working on at this moment in time, in addition to the requested changes and ballance issues of the current scenario. I will note however that Historical knowledge in this subject is not needed. Me, Citizen001, and Kane77077 know vast things about this topic, so the question is the scenario itself rather than accuracy as that department will get taken care of.
