Well, we've discussed it for a while, pollless, here. Since that discussion is more or less over, I think we should actually start voting. Included in the poll are all the all the choices in vanilla not yet used, of which there are a lot. The poll is open for four days, because it seems like a good number.
 
This should be in the Polls section of the forums :).
 
I chose Greece, because I don't think we should strive for conquest/domination this game

BUT i think you should have had an abstain, because we still arent sure, if we play alongside another team or we play a scenario
 
Added random. Also, moving this to the Polls forum.

One problem with random though, we might wind up as Persia, Rome, Germany or France again. We also haven't played with an expansionist and religous trait.
 
I abstain, since I want to play Conquests...

Oh wait, surely we wouldn't want decide which VERSION we're going to play first, would we?

Oh wait, we did. Hmmm, looks like a very strong perference for Conquests, or am I missing something here?

:lol: I think you're missing something here, ravensfire. That poll was asking which version you had, not which version we should play with. I'm guessing, but i would imagine Bill_in_PDX only has Vanilla (I could be wrong). That would make Vanilla a definite third of the votes. So are you saying we should dump those that don't have conquests? Probably not a good idea.

In choosing a tribe for DG5, I would have chosen the Iroquois, the Japanese, or the Russians. In this poll I have voted for the Iroquois.

No, I'm actually pointing out that THIS poll assumes we have decided which version we are playing. You are correct about the poll I linked to. So, in response, I link to this poll which asks "Which version of Civ3 do we play with?"

Seems most people do want to play with Conquests.

There ya go. Much better now. But I still think we should play the Iroquios in Vanilla. ;)

Actually, if the game does progress to C3C, I will be able to progress also. Back to a normal life with no addiction to the Demogame. Hell, I'm already free. You people do what you wish. :)

Bah - you'll never be free. ;) I thought I was gone after the end of Term 3, and look what that got me ...

I actually haven't even looked at a save since early term 4. As long as leaders post adequate information and details, I shouldn't have to.

Hmm, seems I screwed up a little with this. I thought we had come to the agreement on playing vanilla (plus its the only one I have ;) ). All other mistakes can be attributed to staying up late studying for exams.
 
I abstained because I'm tired of vanilla Civ. If we play with Conquests I may even go out and buy it! ;)

And now for something completely different: I was tempted to vote random (no matter which version we play) but see no point in that. After all we purposefully chose a commmercial civ and then went on to conquer the demogame world. :crazyeye:
