Diplomacy Lines

In the Diplomacy screen i dont see the lines from ruler to ruler that indicate peace treaties, rights of passage, alliances etc. Does ne one else have this problem case it really sux not knowing if the puny Greeks have a mutual protections pact with massive Germany.

Are there colored borders around each of their pictures, indicating that a leader is selected? You can select more than one by holding down shift.
Are the line boxes on the right checked?

Do you have the latests openGL drivers for your video card?
