Does anyone else think that the crucifix in their logo should represent the T and not the I in scientology?
Scientology teaches that mental disorders do not exist, and that people with them are either suffering from some kind of demonic possession or are simply deluded.
As someone with a mental disorder, I take just a little bit of offence at that. Scientology is a terrible force for prejudice and misunderstanding and ought to be wiped from the face of the earth. Of course, I'm demonically possessed, so that might not be a very rational view.

By the way, I think I read one of Hubbard's science fiction novels once, and it was quite good. He should definitely have stuck to that.
I love the way Scientologists always talk of Hubbard in the present tense and act as if he's still around - of course, he died in 1986. Sorry, he "departed his body". His spirit (remember, Hubbard scientifically proved the existence of the soul with one of his clever machines) is still around. Or something.

Funny, if somepne came up saying those things about christianity, it would rain brinstone here.
I do think they are loonies, but not loonier than the average religionist. They just have a less popular brand, and while they deserve criticism, they also deserve to recieve that with minimal respect, just like any other religion does.
