This is for my current nes, stAMNES.

I had an idea, when I was doing the update. This idea may be different, its not a whole rules change, its just to add a bit of reality. Its becoming a bit boring how nation's economies drop and higher so drastically like this. I was thinking, maybe I should take all levels from the rules, but keep them in the stats. Your orders would be to increase your economy, and depending on your nation, I will decide when and by how much your economy increases. When increasing army, I decide depending on your economy and your nation by how much you army will increase or drop. Only I will know the levels and they wont be the same all the time. I may use different descriptions for armies and so forth.

This idea is still premature, but I need ideas, suggestions and critisms. I am not sure exactly how this will go about.

Mate you are just going to have to be careful. This could lead to claims of favourtisim ie 'Why does Sheep always get the economies and not me, its not fair, I Quit this ****e'

I think it is a good idea. Need some work, to know like when to upgrade stuff, and it will make planninig a bit more hard, but it can be done.

It sounds good. It would sound better, though, if you used this idea, and also made the stats numerical.

If you're not going to make it numerical, you shouldn't use this system. It would be too abstract.

I would still keep playing though...

Based on my modding so far, I dont think I have done any favouritisms...

Neither did I in stjnes4, but still it seemed like the whole communitee was coming crashing down on me.

Anyways, I tried this many times (beginning of stJNES5 and the JNES.N rules reflect this idea) and I find it HIGHLY realistic. I very much encourage you to use this in your NES.

And don't worry, I did not vote.

Jason

I am thinking of using this idea in my nes. However the economy level will still have some reflection in the stats therefore allowing people to know how rich they are. Of course excess spending will limit this but programs that encourage economic growth will grow it.

lol, thanks. :) @ Jason.

Well, all the stats will be very clear on everyone's template, though now there will be no standard, set in stone chart for Economy, Education, army, and all that. I am still working out the ideas, to make it in reality. I am considering to add just one number stat, which would be part of the economy, so you would have an economy level determining your economy then a gold per turn.

Suggestions?

I think you should keep these changes out of the current nes and when you start a new one then implement them.
