simple- tell me what the heck you guys, the players would like for an NES scenario- I'll take it all into consideration, and launch a new NES based on what ideas I like best, and feel would be fun to mod

wat happened to ur other nes?
 
I got bored with it- several people never sent in orders in a timelly maner, and I've gotten tired of it- besides, i think jasons newer form of econ will be funner to mod with, as it will inspire more action per turn
 
Once concept for an NES that I'd like to see is Earth starting at about 1866-1870. The US is rebuilding after the Civil War, tensions in Europe are high (wars between France, Austria, and Prussia are soon to come), Japan is modernizing, and many colonies are still up for grabs.
Unfortunately, I currently lack both the experience to mod an NES and sufficient knowledge of the period.

BTW, if anyone were to run this, I'd like dibs on playing Japan.

For a game system idea, I'd like to see someone implement democracy better. If a leader's policies are unpopular, then at periodic intervals (election years), there should be a chance for that leader to be voted out of office. The player wouldn't change, but he would have to change several policies (and think of a new persona).
 
my own expertise is in ancient, darkage, and medieval history. and I'm a lazy bastard- so the likllyness of me doing that idea are, sadlly, almost none. however, i do accept cash bribes. :)
 
well, u could do a nes on the rise of rome....
 
Well, dang. Perhaps with some more studying and NES experience I could swing it in a few months.

I don't know if this is too modern for you, but perhaps a 30 Years War NES? With the reformation, counter reformation and lots of little countries all in turmoil, it would make for an interesting game.

I personally would like to see the world situation at the start of the First Punic War. You could be Rome, and crush Carthage. Or Carthage, and vice versa. Or you could be a different nation entirely. The end result is a world where Rome rules supreme, or the history of the world without Rome.
 
I suggest a world map NES beginning in 500 BC. Rome and Carthage appear, Persians invade Greece and stuff...
 
why not somthing OLDER ones and for all? Like Medieval ages? like Mongol "rise"? (I'll be temujin khanate anytime :))
 
He wont be doing anything soon :lol:

But a Fall of Rome or Punic Wars that is world mapped would be fun
