Brave replaces Swordsman and has an extra moviment per turn. Historically, in most North American tribes, the term "Brave" referred to not an expierenced warrior, but instead a male youth who had not yet engaged in battle. Brave has come to mean "Warrior" or "Raider" to the common people today however.

Weird choices for Best and Shunned Governments. Basically, Likes Tyranny, but hates Tyranny if its called Fascism. I always thought that Despotism in game should have been called Chiefdom, like in DyP.

... eeks. Um.. the preferred governments are totally wrong.

Shunned: Despotism

Although the Cherokee Nation is a republic it is rather socialist, so making it communist would be better, plus.. there aren't a whole lot of communist civs.

I don't think they're quite that aggressive, either. Though I don't really know...

Mobilize, post the Cherokee Civilopedia Entry, when I upgrade a new version with the Civilopedia I can change the government type (I have to upgrade cherokee01.zip)

Im using this in the scenario im making, could use some help with locations of a few settlements, can anyone tell me where 3 or 4 settlements of this civilization were located? Proximity to present day cities will do, if i can find them on the atlas. Thanks!

Well we were all over Georgia, Tennesee, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and later Arkansas.. so put them somewhere over there.

Thanks Mobilize. You see... I have this earth map with 31 civs in it, I want to place about 3 "cities" for each american civ, I would prefer to avoid placing cities in random locations. If you could for instances pick 3 cities from the citylist posted above and tell me what area to place them, ie. Tugaloo goes in this state near what is now that city (at least the state) that would help a lot
You should like my mod when its done, it will give you the chance to play with the Cherokee starting around 1300bC Im sure you would like to see your starting cities near the right places
And if you could do the same thing in the other thread for the Navaho civ that would be great, I managed to do it for the Lakota some time ago, just thought I could save some time by asking for some help, currently placing oriental civ's cities, the american ones are next

News: I added the Brave (unit by Kinboat) and changed the best/shunned government type.
