This is my first map, another europe map I know! But I made this one with the idea of using it online. It is a small map 80x80 so is designed to offer each civ with enough room to develop a fair amount of cities without being too large and causing lag or too much land. Some civs of course will run out of room (england, rome, spain, etc) if some other civs are present and may block them in, but that is what war is for! Also terrain at civ capitals is v. good to try and stop people dropping from a MP game at the start.. v annoying.
Anyway comments are welcome, I will update if I agree and have time. Additionally feel free to use for any scenario but just let me have a look at the scenario as I may enjoy it. And if you would like to play with me on it online you may see my hosting it and the room is always open to reliable players and feel free to join.

IN game or in the editor, whenever your screen is showing what you want to show, push the button on your keyboard called "Print Screen" or maybe prt sc or something.
Close out.
Go to your graphics program.

(paint or something. I use a couple of freeware programs, ImageForge (which is great and very user freindly, except it saves stuff in form of pcx civ doesn't use correctly) and Gimp which is hard to learn and very fancy and can do all kinds of fancy stuff except it can't resize without maintaining proportionsand it can't paint in any colors that weren't in the original image--but it can save things correctly. I hear you can buy good software for this stuff, Photoshop Pro. But I don't have access to it, so I work stuff in Image Forge, then open it in Gimp and save it, or index it by pasting it into a picture with lots of colors in it, but I digress.)

Go into your graphics program, without doing anything else, and paste. That's all, just paste. Pop, there it is, your screen in some kind of image format. Now, if you want it to show in the post, reduce the number of colors or make it smaller or something, because there's a size limit. You can go larger if you just want a link to it.
Anyway, save the image in your graphics program.

Then come to the thread and start a reply. Not a quick reply, go advanced (button at the bottom). Find the part about Manage Attachments. Browse to the image you saved using your graphics program and upload it.

I quick and fun map.

Very, very nice map...

I might just put a scenario on it...Europe in 1910 or something like that...

It will set things up for WWI, based on what people do...

very cool. i'm really into smaller maps (lotsa people aren't) so thanks for the creation. i'll use for a future europe wwii/dday mod.

too small for what i have in mind

I'm guessing you don't know how to use the Gimp. You're probably one of those people who don't know how to draw a straight line in it, too.

It's a good map, especially if you have a slow computer. However, I'd suggest a few less resources in Norway. I myself like small maps, they make scenarios more manageable to play and reduces loading times, which is why I think the conquests have smaller maps.

k. that´s alright. but i won´t use it, because the region where the modern germany should be seems squeezed, also france, compared to a very big scandinavia. i don´t know which projection this is, but for scenario purposes the map should be more accurate in seize. perhaps the northern coastline of central europe could be extended to the north. britain then should be placed in the north, and scandinavia becomes parallel to the x-axe. oh, ****, i should do it myself ... but it´s very cool, that someone does small maps. greetz

cool map and i love when the maps are small because i hate to wait 10 min after each turn...
