Creation Day will be held on Sunday August 1, at 1300 Arizona time (1600 EST, 2000 GMT, 2100 CET). Come join us for this momentus occasion in the #turnchat room.

This is primarily a social event. Normally we just create the game, post screenshots, toast the beginning of the new game, and enter freeform discussion on how to play the opening moves.

This is not a discussion thread. In the unlikely event that an elected leader has instructions for Creation Day they may be placed here.

Sharing a time zone with airzona does have its benefits I guess :)

and cowgirls, too!

I'll be at work, but hopefully it will be slow and I can be here to see what happens, how it's done, etc...

CET is 1 hour away from GMT

Remember - GMT has no daylight saving, therefore with daylight saving CET (not sure what the daylight saving version is called) is GMT+2. The UK is on GMT+1 at the moment. RMT (CET) is therefore currently GMT+2, but will revert to GMT+1 in October.

ah - gert-janl beat me to it!

And it's EDT, not EST. :)

BTW, as a note to all of our newer users, this thread is for the elected advisors only, not a discussion thread.

Question: So what time is that in Central Standard Time? I unfortunately have never developed a reliable ability to translate times to different time zones.

No, like from the time they posted, what time is that in CST, i know im in CST i just want to know what time to show up

Central is Texas, Michigan, etc. of the States.

I really wish I wasn't going on vacation :( If the turnchat happened right now then I'd be happy.

Michigan is Eastern.

How do we get into the chat?..

I think that is the best question I've yet to see. I've been wondering that myself.

i think you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on chat room?

OK, well I guess it's not a problem to use this thread for timezone lessons. :D

As far as I know, Texas uses Daylight Savings everywhere, so if you're in the Central time zone, it is 2 hours later than Arizona time, so the chat is at 1500, or 3pm.

We need a chat office. Guess I'll start a thread but there are a lot of people here who know more about chat than I do. The java chat client which is linked from the bottom of the page will suffice but there are better options if you're comfortable with installing software. On windows the biggie is mIRC.
