First off, I would like to say hello to everyone. Me and my friends have actually been doing this SG stuffwith people on our campus (UCLA). I didn't realize that there was an actual site for these, so I am quite happy. Anyways, I wanted to introduce you to a SG theme that we play a lot. We have a lot of people on campus who play so I don't expect it to be like that where we have 10+ people playing.
I need 5 or 6 people to sign up.
Five people are the actual players.
One is what we call a "The Bad Apple." Every so many turns he comes in and takes one turn doing something destructive to our game. It can't be like selling improvements or anything like that. He has the choice to declare war on one person, ruin our reputation by demanding, waste our money on a steal (can't continue stealing until we are run dry of $$$), switch an improvement, or rush an improvement (only one even if we have millions of $$$). You don't have to do the worst thing everytime you are up, read the discussions and decide what would irritate us the most.
The "Bad Apple" spot is triggered by a leader pop, anarchy (including self-induced), oa civilization leaving the game, or GA. When one of these three activities happens, the bad apple is put into the rotation and has to play 1 turn. No units may be moved or any unit actions used. After his/her vile act, the person must make the turn skip to the next. Save it and tell us how badly you hurt us. Then the rotation continues.
Then, we have "I can do better" spot. When someone who is in the roster says I need a skip/swap because he/she cannot claim the game in the time required, anyone lurking can claim it. After the lurker plays, the rotation continues. To claim the game, they have to say, "I can do better." Once a person plays his/her open 10 turns, he/she cannot play in this sg anymore.
Difficulty: Diety
Land: Continents
Land %: 70%
Random for the rest
Civ: Celts
All other civs random
All winning conditions are on except wonders. We can win anyway we want to.
Culture Flips = on
Scientific leaders = on
The first start will be taken no matter how disgusting it looks. This has proved to be a really fun SG in our dorm. The only difference is when the bad apple starts a war with someone we don't want to attack, we get to go to their room and hit them with hard objects.
Roster (actual play order as well)
Barbslinger
Mauer
Sesn
GRS
Locomotive
Bad Apple = Microbe
Bad Apple Accomplishments:
After Anarchy ended, Microbe put us into Monarchy instead of Republic
