THE STORY
Following the collapse of democratic Iraq in 2009 many people in Britain saw the folly in forcing outlandish forms of government and culture on off-the-island lands. In late august 2010 groups of people in parts of Great Britain began peacefully speaking out against the commonwealth and empire of their island, their beleifs included the disbanding of the commonwealth which would giving full sovereignty to countries like Canada, Austrailia, New Zealand, South Africa and the newly formed North India Entete. They Also wanted Great Britain to give up all off-island territories including Northen Ireland, which wanted it so direly. These "radicals" called Themselves the Anti-Imperialist Party. There apeal was very strong in Wales and East and Southern England. Scotland did not support this movement and remained loyal the the Empire. Politicians in London brandished this movement as "The most Treasonous, group of Irish Loving rebels that were not fit to lick the sole of the Empire". Off the continent this movement was drastically supported by countries like Germany and its will to split into the Rhineland. while condemned by France and Canada who were having the own increasingly violent sepratist problems.
As the Movement became more popular its leader, Brendan Lamberdon spoke out in stiring rallies in cities like Cardiff, Liverpool, while booed out of London. The British Government finally had enough and delivered an ultimatem to the party that if it did not stop its anarchus behavior it would be stoped with force. The Anti-Imperialists did not stop and 8 men were gunned down in a hotel in Birmingham by British Police. People across the country were inraged by this and took sides with the Antese as they were being called. Finally all of wales was driftng away from the Empire and Lamberdon proclaimed that wales and the English supporters of the Antese would storm London, armed, if the commonwealth and empire wasnt dibanded. Lo and behold the Nationalist armed police fought a street battle around Trafalgar Square on June 5th 2012. Soon a full fledged violent rebellion was breaking out in Britain. Stalwart Ireland Sided with the Antese and declared war on the Nationalists in hopes of Liberating the North, whilst franc edesided to come to the aid of their nabour the nationalists. The whole world watched in horror as the empire that once ruled the earth collapsed in civil war. ARE YOU READY FOR ANARCHY IN THE U.K!?

EDIT- fixed uneaven forces and time limit

You put St. Austell in the game :)

The map's excellent. I like that the Isle of Man made it in too. Nice detail.

The Anti-Imperialists just don't have a chance though. I destroyed them :D

Speaking of English civil wars... maybe you should use this map for Cromwell's invasion or Ireland?

Lesson in reality:
First of all the British Empire was disbanded, Canada, S. Africa, New Zealand, India, and Austrailia already have full self-political control of themselves and have had so since the 1950s. They only choose to recognize the English monarch as their head of state out of tradition. N. Ireland is the only country that is in limbo. The dis-union of the empire was done by a DEMOCRATIC VOTE, I know it's a hard concept for a commie like you but say it with me DEMOCRATIC VOTE.

look dude,
LESSON IN REALITY
This is a game, im well aware of the political standings of my own country first of all. And second of all if i want to create a half fantasy scenarion than i will do it, EH?

Oh, and Canada's sovereignty came in 1930's when we were given our own option to enter the second world war. And C3C is a place were you can say and do most anything you want without being insulted, got it? good!

Communists unite!

one thing i notice, you see that bay northeast of belfast in this game? thats where belfast is, also Dublin and Dun Laoghaire are pretty much right next door (Dun Laoghaire is a port for Dublin). Also you see where Moville (Rep. Ireland) is? Londonderry belongs there. Leeds is Northeast of Manchester (think just east of the hill to the east of those forests just north of Manchester). Holyhead is on the Isle of Anglessey (Island duh). The Isle of Man should be farther south, and so should be the UK Island (Northern Ireland is really close to that peninsula west of Dumfries.). Waterford should be on the coast just east of Emniscorthy. That sounds about right. I'm an American and I know more about your country and Ireland than you! Hahahaha!

ah, man, i did this scn in half an hour with and outdated atlas so i guess i deserved that, GAH! im soo ashamed, im half irish too!

But from a communist to another, good job trying! (I'm an American (Nationality 50% Dutch 50% Russian and I'm a Dutch citizen too, which means I can live anywhere in the EU!)

ok, lets have a logical conversation here.....what is the apeal to socialism? If it is supposed to be so great then how come most of the countries trying it are poor. Despite their claims to be creating a classless society the differences between the classes is so extreme. Socialist countries tend to have a poor class and then the elite. In a free market economy the majority of the people are middle class and live good lives. Big government = big waste. In communism where is the apeal to try harder and improve if you will never go farther than what the state has given you. In a free market you can start at the bottem and work your way to the top. Or if your a creative person you can start a business and make some money. Now I really want to know what appeals to you about this system, respectfully, despite our last conversation.

ashep,
I think your comments/question is one of semantics and definition. A socialist system or country is NOT necessarily a communist country. A communist system features things like complete governmental control of the economy, complete governmental ownership of all resources and property (no private property), a social "safety net", and government quotas for jobs and workers in various industries (i.e. 5000 job/workers in aerospace, 1000 jobs/workers in medicine, everybody has a job in the happy workers paradise.) A socialist system features things like the social "safety net" but it differs from communism in that it tries to balance the interests of business (big and small) with the welfare of the citizenry. Socialism also allows for private ownership of resources and property. A socialist system does not generally (although it can) feature things like central control of the economy and government ownership of all property and resources. Socialism encourages, rather that dictates, growth in certain areas of the economy (usually through subsidies or incentives). It also may seek governmental control of "essential" good and services, such as a strategically important mineral or certain modes of transportation, through legislation and "exclusive use" contracts. Socialism is a system that seems to lie somewhere between a free market economy and Communism.
Please note that I am talking about Socialism and Communism in their pure form. What I mean is that countries like China and the Soviet Union do not/did not have pure Communist governments. They have/had repressive regimes who called themselves Communist and feature(d) some of the tenets of pure communism. Nowhere in pure Communism (as outlined by Marx and Engels(sp?) ) is there a call for the central government to be repressive or to deny the citizenry their fundamental rights. As a matter of fact, the central ideal of the Communist Manifesto (which contains the ideals of pure communism) is to allow people to live their lives free from worrying about where their next meal is coming from or how they are going to pay their bills. In other words, Communism in its pure state should allow people to experience greater freedom (both personal and economic) than a free market economy.
And speaking of a free market economy, I am not aware of any country on this planet (or any other, for that matter) that has a true free market economy. A true free market economy would offer no protections for workers or consumers as the government wouldn't be involved with in business or the economy at all. In a true free market economy, the principals of lassaiz faire or governmental non-interferance apply. The US does NOT have a free market economy. Things like OSHA, unemployment insurance, government subsidies of certain industries, and protectionist legislation see to that. In fact, the US is quite socialist. Don't believe me? Well, how about things like Social Security, Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) (also known as "welfare"), Food Stamps, Unemployment Insurance/Compensation, and all of the other social "safety net" programs. Gee, and here you thought that you lived in a democracy with a free market economy. To paraphrase a line from a popular movie, "Yesterday, you knew you lived in a democracy with a free market economy. Today, you know that you live in a Social Democracy. Just think of what you'll know tomorrow!"
(A social democracy being a system that feature some of the tenets of socialism combined with free political elections.)
Also, Canadians do not all say "eh". I have been to Canada countless times (I quite like our neighbors to the north), and those people who say "eh" seem to be in the minority compared to those who do not say "eh". (Personally I like to say "nee!")
Also fyi, I am a proud citizen of the US. I reside in Pennsylvania. And I am not now, nor have I ever been, a Communist or a Socialist, I am a moderate Republican.
And lastly, my apologies to the moderator of this thread for this post. I know that it is way off topic, but I felt the need to respond. Sorry about that.

nice scenario! A few things i noticed: No great wonders exist at the beginning, there are very few luxuries (not a big problem), and Ireland starts off as a Republic; its system is probably closer to a Democracy. Otherwise, it looks good!

thank you chuck, that is the type of conversation i had in mind. I know that no one practices lassaiz faire, and I know that the US is not a 100% free market. But when I think about socialism I think about the gov taking money from someone who is rich and owns a company who employs thousands (bill gates?). and when the gov takes some of their money then all that person would do is lay-off workers to make up for the loss. When I think of the government controlling large amounts of money the only thing that come to mind is the incredable waste that will happen, well gotta go to work....

Democracy is wrong system but best which we have...
I think that Churchill said this opinion.

Best is compromision of the effective economy and luxury for all people. I think the everybody how want to work must got a work and everybody who works must had better wage as unemployed. But in all countries with democracy this doesnt work...

All socialist Republic had poor economy(Ok,maybe Soviets raise more, but their sattelites must buying their products) so in democracy: 10 percents very good,80 percents good,10 percents poor but in socialism 100 percents average....

man, i dont care, the soviet union would have evolved with communism to become the ultimate government had stalin NOT come to his dictatorship with his "purges". I see modern communism as a still born infant of what it could have been.... And china/N. Korea as that guy from south park sucking the fetus

Yes, Communism is more of an unfinished, dictatorship marxism. The current communist nations are turning their economies toward capitalism and trade (Ex. Vietnam) Anyway I'm really a socialist but communism is a good second, count me in!

Comment on the scenario: I like it but you give the loyalists way too much power, if you gave the anti-royals a few more cities and a little less debt than it would be an exciting fight to the last man.

Ok, let me explain something here about myself.......I am an ex-commie who turned semi-republican. I think that if someone has been fired or down on their luck then they deserve an unemployment check to help survive a temporary down. But the trouble is that many people "learn" the system and abuse it. I approve of social security so I am not a straight up "rightist" I think that the idea of communism is inheirintly good, it is about man helping their fellow man. But man does have a dark side, people will cheat the system no matter what, so if it's the individual's money instead of the governments (the people's) then that individual is the only one being hurt, however a large number of people cheating a socialist/communist government would cause an economic depression. China is very poor for the amount of resaources and labor there, but when they started to switch to some free market ideas then the GNP quadrupled. When I think of China, Russia, Vietnam, Cuba, N. Korea, or ANY of the communist countries I don't think of an economic power, but when I say S. Korea, USA, Canada, Japan, Germany I start to think of stable and rich governments where the people actually have money to afford nice things and the standard of living is better.
In the medical system if you pay for your own medical insurance then the medical field is boosted with fresh capital to research new cures and so-forth, however if a socialist government is funding all of this then they will try to save money as much as possible and many people end-up getting short changed on treatment. England has tried experiments in socialism, and ask a brit what they think of their medical system.
